We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Couldn't access my room but keys had been left in another room so I stayed there but bed hadn't been changed or bin emptied etc, Stripped bed and slept on mattress. United KingdomThe property is pretty far out in the suburbs of High Wycombe, and as I arrived late at night (around 22:30) there was no one to show me in so I had to call the management. Although it was quite hard to hear them they gave me the code to the key box and after that getting in was easy enough (though I don't know what I would have done had I not called - would have preferred an email in advance letting me know how to get in and what the code was). The room itself was fine in terms of facilities, however there were two things that were not that nice. Firstly the towels that had been placed on the bed were soaking wet! They smelled of detergent so clearly had just been washed but not dried, and were rolled up and placed directly on the bed which made it damp. Really astonishing that someone could not notice that when putting the towels out. The second thing was that the bed had what looked like hairs in it. I can only conclude that this was from the previous tenant, and that the sheets had therefore not been washed. The only other possibility is that they weren't hairs but were some kind of fabric threads, but I honestly don't know what else they could have been as they looked pretty like long black hairs. Either way they were pretty unappealing to find in the bed and definitely left me feeling it wasn't very clean.
The room itself was comfortable and as described and shown in the pictures, and was reasonably good value for money for the location

Only managed to contact host via the very good fortune of bumping into a fellow guest who was returning to the property around 22.h, who gave us the correct number. Sat nav takes you to 11 Hillary Close. Lack of instructions in the email about how to access the keys (which key box and its code). Check-in time between 12-15 on email and not possible to contact host for late check-in because of the wrong phone number

United KingdomSo, first of all this is a shared house. The advertisement was slightly deceptive on this. But that wasn’t really the issue. We never received a confirmation email, and the phone number attached didn’t connect. I was given a different contact number from another guest. They didn’t even know we were coming and one of the rooms was not made up. We were told it would be 2.5 hours before it would be ready. The upstairs shower barely worked and the downstairs one flooded the floor when used. They’re were questionable white stains on the carpet in one of the rooms. The kitchen was full of dirty towels and bedding.
The bed was comfy, the WiFi fast and the Tv was large.

An XL Bully locked up and cries all the time, in room 1. The owner of the place doesn't give a damn. I checked out early and cost myself more money. Place is a disgrace and you should remove it off your site immediately.

United KingdomWas told when arriving at the property that they had overbooked by one room, and we had booked two rooms. As we could not find alternative accommodation for the other two guests we reluctantly accepted to stay as four people in one room. Management agreed to refund us for one of the rooms, but we have yet to receive the promised refund for the overbooked room. Now believe this was a tactic to scam us out of money, as the place was eerily quiet which leads me to believe no one else was actually staying there.
