Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The use of the word Superior in room title, it was next step up from Cosy - but had thought Superior would be higher grade. Not even a fridge in room. Would advocate it being called Standard Double - still a step up from Cosy but not a higher standard expected with the name Superior. Would also like Room Only option which wasn't present when booking.
Room was clean, comfortable, located well in the centre of London for our needs. Wasn't offered Room Only option, which usually take - Breakfast was fine - not free buffet as you were served hot food by staff.

Soundproofing isn’t great, could clearly hear people in the room next door having a regular volume conversation, hallway noise was also pretty loud.
Cleanliness, cozy room and every staff member I encountered made an effort to say hello and be welcoming.

The room and bed were quite small, but overall a good experience
Great location, a nice hotel with a good lobby and bar area with friendly / professional staff. Didn't feel like a budget option despite being reasonably priced.

View from our room
Excellent location for us. We had booked a matinee show just down the road and a meal at The Savoy which is literally across the road. My husband was competing in the London Marathon and the hotel was a superb location for this too. All the staff were pleasant and helpful.

My room was advertised as a “cosy double”. I was sharing with my boy and he’s not the biggest child. View from the room was of 3 other rooms and a net to stop birds, not great. The bed was a small double and one side of the bed was pushed up against the wall. Not a great nights sleep tbh. Wait for breakfast as it was so busy. Once seated then everything was good. All staff we came across were very polite and professional 👏🏻👏🏻

The room was very clean but drearily decorated. It needs some color. There are shutters on the windows that made it very dark 24/7 even when the sun was shining. Staff was very nice. Great central location.

The room was very basic. Literally a room with a table and 2 chairs. Nothing else. Small. Lacking any luxury or colour, texture, design. Advertising the room as Superior was extremely misleading and in stark contrast to the reception and wonderful staff. The price is not reflected in the room at all, the price is for location.
The location is superb. The facade is beautiful and the reception and staff were really wonderful and of a high standard.

My only negative was when entering the hotel as much as you have someone on the door who were good, there was no real welcome to the hotel, no direction to where check in. It’s was a busy check in however for the money being spent I would expect you receive the warm welcome rather than walking around trying to find reception yourself which is tucked round the corner. Also the door to our room was so stiff to open you almost had to put your body weight behind it to open.
Great location if your looking for a centralised place for all the theatres. Great rooms we upgraded to a deluxe room and definitely worth doing, very generous mini bar included in the room. Great quality products in the bathrooms. Comfortable beds, great nights sleep with great sound proofing. Saw mixed reviews about breakfast before our stay however we thought it was brilliant variety of food.

some of my interactions with staff were not great. I spoke with a young man at reception a few different times and he just seemed like he was having a difficult time understanding what I needed, but he was nice. once, I requested clean towels and hand soap, and the gentleman who delivered the towels was kind of rude. He didn't have the soap, and when I asked for it, he just yelled "No English!" and walked away.
breakfast was excellent, lots of variety, very tasty food, good coffee, good service. my room was small and my bathroom was tiny but they were clean and comfortable. location was excellent
