There was nothing we didn't like.

We loved our room and luxury ensuite. The food was amazing, freshly prepared breakfast choices and our evening meal was outstanding, delicious and great value for money. So cosy and welcoming. We had a lovely stay and felt well looked after. We would highly recommend.

The fold up bed was unusable, I slept on the sofa. Just past the bathroom is space for hanging coats/clothes, the hangers were not very good. The stud wall or door there obviously has wooden stairs on the other side as you could hear people using them and moving around. No tea/coffee making facilities.

We had a meal when we got there, in the quaint homely Pub/Diner. The food was good the service was great. The room we stayed in was a good size, with a couple of sofas, a single and double bed, plus a small kitchen area with a sink. The bathroom is a great size and a good shower. Breakfast is good.

Bar prices...bit out of our budget to enjoy. Noise from other residents in their rooms as could hear everything they were up to. Just wanted a peaceful evening, relaxing but unfortunately too much noise about.

The decor and layout of this old coaching inn is done sympathetically and very well. The food at dinner and breakfast was excellent and the staff very welcoming and friendly.

From the moment we arrived the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms were a good size, good facilities and comfy beds. Food was delicious (breakfast and evening meals x3 nights). Great location too.

Can’t say enough about the charm and luxury of this property! What a stunning inn and the staff was so attentive and knowledgeable. The food was amazing- both breakfast and dinner- and we will hope to stop by again some day. Sam was especially kind and helpful and the rooms were equipped with deep bath tubs and tea and biscuits. Our favorite place we’ve stayed in the UK.

Bit cold in the downstairs public areas despite the roaring fires. Bed too soft for me but my son and husband loved theirs. Guess you can't please everyone all of the time.

Friendly pub with a really excellent menu and very well prepared. It is a great place as a stopover on a long journey. It would be a good base for a few days touring the area. Good selection of beers and wine. Staff are so good and the breakfast really caps your stay.

The open fires could not be fuelled with coal due to recent regs,and wood alone was cooler!

Full of character,our room had recently been nicely reworked. The bar and restaurant was very inviting and the meal was excellently cooked by the owner,apparently.
