Had a tricky time getting the heater to work.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Room was ready early so I could check in with my heavy bags. Breakfast team were superhero’s getting everyone’s orders out. Comfy bed, great shower. Mini fridge in the room was a bonus. Incredible location around the corner from two Tube stations.

Nothing to dislike ..for the money , as close to perfection as you can get

Everything ( almost ! ) 1. Staff were excellent , couldn't have been more helpful , the man on the front desk , showed me the restaurant facilities which were excellent , and even made me a cup of tea ! 2. Restaurant was superb ...huge array of items for a continental breakfast , plus a full English breakfast that was individually cooked and brought to your table 3. Hotel had a very fast lift and everywhere was spotlessly clean Only slight hiccup was that the room wasn't the biggest Overall , absolutely superb ..I will definitely go there again !

Shower was temperamental, from hot to cold throughout. Everything you couldn't have wanted. Got new extra toilet rolls, due to my extreme coughing. Room on 3rd floor - no noise really. Good hard bed, although as a double it was small. Could have been a cleaner room, bedding had stains - but, it was newly washed as could smell and had been ironed. Did get changed, Porter very helpful. Floor under bed could have done with a clean. Scuffs on skirting, rip in curtain lining perhaps from wind - shower soap dish needed a clean. Could have done with a bigger bin!

Well situated approx 7 min walk to Gloucester Road Tube Station. The breakfast was very good, although the small cherry tomatoes were uncooked - could have done with large cooked tomato's. Toast was given 2 slices each, but not required - worth asking. Room was quite, faint noise from next room's TV. Thick walls, couldn't here lift outside room either. Got from staff - extra toilet rolls, due to my extreme coughing.

Lack of telephone to comunicate with staff in an emergency. The room needed redecorating. The curtain did not cover the whole window and daylight coming through the sides. Not enough plugs. And TV placed on the wrong side of the room.

Location and breakfast were excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful.

a nice stay in the Kensington area
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children

All was fine and I would like to visit again. If small improvement could be made - there is no shelf nor even a small hanger in the bathroom which makes it difficult to take a shower. Also - this was not a problem for me but visitors should be aware the internet functions well inthe common area but not necessarily in the rooms.

This was my second stay in this small hotel - this time with family. It is located in a very nice neighbourhood nearby a tube station - which is really great. The rooms are simple but very comfortable, comfortable beds with nice, clean sheets, very fresh towels, friendly staff.

The bathroom was older but sufficient. The room was very small, but it matched the description and we counted on it.

Accommodation at a very good price. The room was clean and cleaned every day. Very good breakfast with helpful and friendly staff. Very good location close to three tube lines. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

I know London is expensive and I should probably have been willing to pay for a bigger room, but since I was only there to sleep this really didn't make much difference.

Excellent location, convenient to everywhere I needed to go. staff (owners?) very nice and accommodating. Normally skip breakfasts but this was a nice feature.

The single glazed windows because I heard the noise of the street early in the morning.

The only minus of the hotel is the size of the small rooms, which is pretty small, but price/quality ratio surpasses it (less than 100 euros per night for a room, breakfast incl.)

Helpful and hospitable staff, 4-5 minute walking distance to tube station and bus stops, calm and lovely neighbourhood, good breakfast, regular housekeeping, 24h/24 available kitchen facilities, perfect performance in central London for this price. I would come back, thanks.

We had a room for six people, but the room's bathroom didn't have a single towel hook. Also the room was too hot, the mattresses bad and the walls thin - you could too well hear noise from the adjacent rooms. The hotel's wifi wasn't great either, it only covered part of our room and in the evening when most guests were in their rooms, the wifi also started dropping connections. Regarding the breakfast, the only real alternative was English breakfast, which probably people from other countries don't appreciate too much.

The location was superb, the hotel is only a few blocks from the Cloucester Road underground station, from which the Picadilly line runs straight to Heathrow Airport. The other lines from the same underground station, makes it possible to very easily reach all central places in London. Regarding the hotel, it's staff was very friendly.

Our toilet was dirty and unfllushed when we arrived in the room. No cleaning staff were available to clean. We were shockingly told to "use the brush". The beds were not comfortable and the room was difficult to air. The whole hotel smelt of fried breakfast from 7am onwards. The kitchen staff cooked with the inside kitchen doors open and the smell filled all floors and got into our room.

Great position in central London, near the tube. Nice Victorian building.

The twin room was quite small and the bathroom floor got really wet after the shower. The room was also a bit cold. The heater worked, but I guess it turned itself off when reached a certain temperature. However, the staff was really nice and gave us an electric heater.

Daniel at the reception was friendly, welcoming and really helpful. Also, the staff at breakfast was also very kind and flexible with our requests. Great location and having the elevator in this type of traditional building is great.

The room was little bit small for two but was ok.

The personnel was very great, flexible and nice. The hotel was well located, cloce to the metro station. The English breakfast is delicious. The old style of the hotel is charming. Our last day, our train to Brussel was cancelled, the hotel accepted to give us a room and give us a discount on the room.
