Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMuch better instructions to get your room key which you had to get from the Anglesey Arms, which could have been placed on the booking in form. No instructions about how to copy if there was a fire or fire exits, or how to find a doctor if one was required. No leaflets with information to see in the area. Room a little cramp with only 3 hangers to clothes, which most had to stay in the suitcases. No shelves in the bathroom to put things, so had to use the floor.
Bed was good also breakfast and meals at the pub was good. Staff were always polite and friendly and very helpful at all times.

United KingdomThe carpet could do with a deep clean. The rest of the room was fine and all worked OK.
I really liked having breakfast looking out over the Menai Straits. I thought the staff were very good and welcoming and very efficient.

United KingdomJust the size of the room, we took our dog so had to step over her bed to move around the room.
Breakfast was lovely and the pub was friendly. The room was very basic and small but about right for the price paid.

United KingdomNot so much dislike, just an FYI: This townhouse is a short walk away from the pub who own it, you're better off having them show you to the house and room if you've not been. The room I stayed in had a musty smell, I'm sure they must know as it hits you every time you enter, plus they'd left the window open. On Booking.com it said I had access to a private bathroom but it was shared; it felt like a scout camp, 2 toilet cubicles and 2 toilet cubicles all in one room with a shared washbasin. You had to remember to bring your towel with you when you went for a wee; I never remembered.
You have to return to the pub each morning for breakfast but the cooked breakfast is good and the lounge has a sea view. The pub itself is OK, and I ate a good meal there, but that's not where you're staying.

United KingdomWas supposed to get the blue room but it was actually the green room? … same layout I guess. Room probably needs blinds as the curtain don’t fully close so can probably see you showering from outside. TV internet didn’t work. In road parking can be a hassle but luckily there was one space.
Location and quick response. Good breakfast.

IrelandOur room was in another building to the main one, the Anglesey Arms where the breakfast was served. Both are very close to each other The entrance to the building is a bit shabby and in need of maintenance. Gives a not great first impression.
Very nice room albeit small. Very comfortable bed and bedding Although small, the room had everything you needed inc very good shower Great breakfast Great, central location close to the castle and everything Friendly staff WiFi was fine All in all, it was fantastic value and we were very happy with our stay and can recommend. Would stay again

AustraliaWe were disappointed that our heater didn’t work so the temperature outside was the same temperature in our room. We thought our room smelt strongly of sheep, we think it was our blanket and bath mat caused the smell.
It was close to the castle and the Main Street. The room was small but cozy. The breakfast at the pub was very nice.

United KingdomWe had booked a delux room in another of the properties but on arrival was given a room in the pub. We didn't mind because of the very reasonable price so we didn't make fuss, though the room was quite small compared to the one we had expected to stay in. It was during a very cold January and though a nice lady put the heating on for us I woke up during the night freezing. Unfortunately, the heating was off and the room was very cold and the quilt was too thin to keep me warm. Also, there were webs on the walls by the ceiling and a web with a dead spider by the toilet and I hate spiders. I gave a 7 because of the breakfast.
We stayed for one night which included a full cooked breakfast that was hot and delicious. We asked for extra toast and it was no problem at all. The staff were friendly and the pub was situated in a beautiful spot, right next to the castle and on the water front. Shops, restaurants and pubs are just minutes walk away.

United KingdomThe only thing about the room was not having any privacy when the curtains were open ( perhaps net curtains would be good) but apart from that the room was great. The breakfast i am afraid was very poor and the staff i spoke to didn’t give me much information about what was gluten free. I had selected the veggie breakfast stating i’d be happy to eat meat if that option wasn’t gluten free the night before. I then checked my order was gluten free in the morning by which no one came back to tell me it was and i was served cold eggs, mushroom and tomato. Very disapointing and would not recommend for people with an allergy.
I liked the location and the room was presented nice and clean, good shower and room and the bed was comfortable too.
