We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was on th ground floor overlooking th car park so didn't like to leave th window open overnight, even though the weather was hot. At breakfast, there were no croissants left before 9am. Breakfast a little disappointing.
The beds were very comfortable. The room was nice and clean. Staff were polite and friendly.

Staff asking for tips when ordering food or drinks. I was given the card scanner then told to read it not asked .why are we being asked to tip when it is not table service and why is it not table service when it's £190 a night.

No complaints at all.
Lovely pub and the food and staff were great, the room was spacious and clean. The location is also brilliant for the nearby beach and driving out to tourist locations. We stayed as a family Of four and our kids loved the bunk beds. Amble harbour is beautiful. We will definitely come and stay again.

Rooms at back of hotel have an outside door, great if you have dogs with you. But in the morning you have the noise of goods vehicles coming and going to supply the hotel.
Nice rooms, great food, not an old hotel ,so everything in good condition. Great location for siteseeng nearby castles and beaches.

Anyone with significant disability might benefit from more rails in the bathroom.
I wanted to book an overnight stay on a long journey with my elderly Mother who uses a wheelchair. The Amble Inn was able to provide a ground floor room with plenty of space to accommodate a walking aid which suited us well and the adjacent bar/restaurant was very accessible too.

Healthier options on the menu would be a bonus, but the food was well cooked and presented.
The room was large and clean. Large double bed and bunk beds, all very comfortable. There was a fan in the room which was very welcome. Bathroom was well equipped with good power in the shower and plenty of clean towels.

I felt misled when at reception I was told if I downloaded the app , if my room wasn’t made I’d get a free drink , I thought that seemed strange that staf would forget to service my room so hung the card on the door to make sure it was cleaned , when we came back in the evening I was very disappointed to find no clean towels and room not turned down ,

We found the evening meal menu not so good. Over 3 nights we had different meals only 1 I enjoyed was the ale/steak pie. My husband did enjoy scampi one night so I would say the food was very mediocre.
Breakfast was fine plenty to choose from. Fried eggs very overdone only complaint on the breakfast.

Breakfast was very disappointing. Quality of food was good but when we went for breakfast at 8.30am both mornings everything was just luke warm and looked a bit sad and dried up. Also I was disappointed to find out that you don't do rooms that would meet my families needs in future. (Just my son and I this time) My sister lives near and this hotel would be perfect for visits but our 15 Yr old is 6ft 3 and 18 stone, so a bunk bed or sofa bed just won't cut it. Shame you don't do triple rooms like the Hogs head.
Spacious room, a warm welcome, quiet, good parking. Little extras like a fan and hairdryer appreciated.
