Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing, it was all lovely!
It’s a very well-planned tardis. It’s a great size for 2 people. Sofa and bed comfy. Huge bathroom with very powerful shower. Bed is king size. Own private garden with bench and recliner and free strawberries. Breakfast was provided - instant oats in pots or sachets, lovely berry granola, milk, eggs, butter and bread. Kitchen well-appointed with conventional oven and microwave and air-fryer. Very quiet location and just a 5 minute walk to the shops and cafes and 10 minutes to the beach. Local fish and chips was good, pizza by the beach was lovely and the local Bay View restaurant was great for food and/or drinks on a Friday night. The coastal paths were lovely; Porthwen brickworks fascinating and the Copper Mines were very interesting. Hosts were lovely. They were welcoming and happy to share walk ideas and local knowledge without being too intrusive. Honestly a great stay and we will go back!

United KingdomNothing to dislike.
Every detail / amenity/ well thought out. Amazing welcome with font of knowledge from Gareth and Karen, the hosts who told us must places to visit which were amazing recommendations. Annexe pristine and cosy just right for what we wanted. Very quiet and tranquil interrupted only by the birdsong and sheep at the rear again a delight! Would not hesitate to return. 5/10 minute walk to Camaes Bay with an amazing icecream parlour , pub, fish and chip shop and cafe that has a selection of baked goods to die for. Surrounding area provided a.ple opportunities for hikes and walks with hidden woodland treasures that added to the break. Brilliantly located to travel around Anglesey where there are a plethora of must visit places too many to mention and hard to fit all in within the week. Local restaurant that was recommended just 5 mins drive away was top notch too. In a nutshell outstanding experience all round.

United KingdomOnly minor things - a bigger doormat would be good so you can take dirty shoes off without standing outside or on the clean floor, and the shower head was having a few issues (but we told the hosts and they were going to sort it out). But both of these are being super picky.
Such a lovely, cosy, home from home! It's a really short walk into Cemaes, so perfectly located for the beach and local amenities, plus the added bonus of lovely country views (and teenie lambs!) made it such a great place to spend the weekend. You don't want for anything - kitchen has everything you need, sofa is super comfy and the bedroom cosy and warm. The added touch of the breakfast basket was a big thumbs up. Hosts are lovely and we can't wait to stay there again!

Home from home, clean and comfortable, everything possible is catered for, oven, fridge/freezer, air fryer and microwave. Breakfast and parking is a bonus. Beautiful views from the bedroom window. Gareth and Karen are welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Lovely walks and beautiful scenery. Caffi Banc in the nearby village serves home cooked food and cakes. There's a local Morrisons/Post Office, an Ice Cream Parlor and a couple of pubs, plus The Habour Inn, serves meals. A small hut on the beach sells pizza and ice cream, well worth a visit.

United KingdomThe hosts were very friendly and helpfull. The accommodation felt like a home from home. We were even encouraged to use the air fryer. The hosts had clearly taken on board the comments of guests very quickly and gone above and beyond expectations. We found the Annex very comfortable and are happy to recommend it. The location was quiet and the area has a lot to offer.
