The entire hotel requires refurbish - very dated and many items well worn through decades of use

Excellent location and facilities for staff team based in the area for special meetings and events. The key merits of this hotel are always the staff, always professional welcoming and friendly. Rooms are comfortable and the lounge areas are good too, although the owners would better serve customers well with refurbishment.

Lift was very slow but that's a minor dislike

Based myself here for 2 nights whilst walking the Cowal Way. Prices for hotels en route were unaffordable for a solo walker. Great location 5 minutes from the pier for ferries and buses. Single room was warm, had hot drinks and a TV. Ensuite small but functional Very reasonable price for a single walker. I don't normally eat at hotel restaurants but after the first night, decided it was so good value that I would eat there the second night. Italian/Spanish menu - good sized tasty portios at a very reasonable price.

Hotel getting a little tired and worn around the edges..for me I see it as charming No proper disabled access to Hotel...5 huge steps and no proper hand rail

Wooden creaky floors on the floor above keeping me awake and waking me up again at 4am with constant walking back and forth.

Scampi in restaurant was very disappointing. Just mushy, chopped up fish product in crumb. Fire alarm went off at 3.45am. Got ready to leave, it stopped. Went off again at 4 am, same story. Difficult to get back to sleep after that. Went off twice more between 9 and 10am.

It's a little tired. The lining of the curtains was ripped and the weights in the window had been cut so nigh on impossible to open.

My room 123 was very cold due to the window not being very good it was a very windy night and I felt as though I was outside it was that loud and the gusts were blowing the curtains and the front door even though the window was closed. In the evening there was no hot water so I had to have a cold shower but in the morning was hot again. Bed was ok but mattress was clearly old and abit uncomfortable. The tv in that room the signal sometimes works and sometimes not.

The property was in a very good location, food was very good, all staff we met were very friendly and helpful.

The room was very small and the bed was very uncomfortable. There was also a bit of a musty smell. The decor in the whole hotel was very dated

The cleanliness of the upholstery was very visible without looking for it the curtains ect where full of dust the entire way down but the bathroom was immaculate amd we where only there for a short stay

Overall it was a nice stay the view was off putting as it looked into houses the seas view wasn’t exactly what I had imagined so we had to keep our blinds closed . Bed was comfortable clean

Wi-Fi bill in this section of the hotel curtains hanging off the curtain rail the general finish of fittings around the room looked like they had been carried out by amateurs

It was warm and plenty of hot water tea /coffee facilities were good along with supplies of clean towels bathroom accessories shampoo etc clean and comfortable bed

Was in basement room ,was very cold ,but found heater in wardrobe whit heated up room .Lovely family room .bay window great views .

I wanted to keep the cost down otherwise a sea view would have been lovely ,you get what you pay for .

I was very happy with the accommodation the hotel was quiet and I had a good night sleep . Visiting family in Dunoon ,ideal location returning in December .

Quite run down. The toilet keep getting clogged even after multiple flushes
