Breakfast, Unfortunately this may have been one of the worst that I have had, or at least in recent memory. To many problems here to list.

The hotel wasn’t very busy ( for no good reason) so a bit quiet in the evenings and earlyish nights

The breakfast was excellent. Individually cooked and the young ladies who served were very attentive. Evening meals were great too; plenty of choice and Gluten free for one of our party

Food was very good, but the organization of the kitchen is not great, even though we placed our order a few hours before, things still went wrong. We were 7 people and didn't have our meal together, 1 person didn't even have anything left, the steak was already sold out, we didn't get the pepper sauce and 1 starter came when the main meal was almost finished. The employees did their best to make up for it and find a cook who could put something together so that we all ate and he did not have to pay for this dish, which is a shame because the food was really tasty and the staff very friendly . It was busy, but with the number of staff members around, it shouldn't be a problem to serve drinks at the table during a meal, you have to get them yourself at the bar. I will go there again and hope the manager does something about it because it's a good hotel.

Very friendly welcome, very clean, cozy bar and restaurant, dog friendly, parking but with big van it's a problem to park very narrow place.

Our room was very cold. The window in the room and in the corridor had been left open following painting being done. We arrived at 8.30pm on a cold February evening and it was bitterly cold inside. The heating in the room worked but too sometime to take the chill off.

Staff were lovely and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable, heating worked quickly and was great. The breakfast was made to order and the young waiter very helpful. I didn't have a chance to spend time in the bar or lounge but it looked great.

It’s an old building and some level of noise is expected. Hearing the person above snoring like a warthog all night did spoil things a tad but at least the snoring stopped when he got up and started banging around at 6am. For the price paid for the room it might be time to invest in some soundproofing.

Evening meal was very nice and the staff are friendly and helpful.

I think your morning staff could have been more organised early on. I felt that I was the only one for breakfast so not much organisation, however when more guests were there at the end of my stay it was a lot better , more organised & efficient.

Wi-Fi did not work in my room. Worked in the corridor outside my room though. Looks like they have a bit of a hole in their Wi-Fi coverage

Room was too small, unheated on very cold day. No hairdryer and generally unclean around the room. Television socket wasn't working and lamps were not working.

Room was quite small and I think my room was over the main doors of the pub or toilets so would constantly hear doors slam and hand dryer going off.

Staff were really nice and helpful and room was very presentable. Location is great too and I love the area at the front with the big leather sofas.

Breakfast we had to remind the girl to take our order Breakfast was great and cooked well .unfortunately the tea bags were not the ones used in the rooms and which makes the tea awful with breakfast and to add the water in the flask was cold

Lovely evening staff booked us in and later served us beer while we sat by the fire
