Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMy fridge really smelt bad and it didn’t work so my food I put in there I was unable to eat the next day but the staff did apologise. One other thing do not go over time in your room. You wil be told to leave it immediately! Think if gone over by 10 minute and they were quite stern with that. Considering on this morning their chef had to go home sick and I couldn’t get breakfast I did think the way I was spoken too was a bit harsh!
Was quirky, simple and easy to find and get too. Bed was comfy xx

United KingdomNo chef on the second day so although an alternative breakfast was offered, it was our first choice option.
The atmosphere and the originality of the hotel. The location is superb for a base for all the Liverpool sites and attractions

JerseyThe bar wasn't very well stocked that would be my only comment that could have been improved.
Breakfast was outstanding, the staff were super lovely I couldn't fault them. It was a small walk from the centre of town which was perfect.

United KingdomThe cooked breakfast was OK, not amazing. Mushrooms were cold, however the grenola with yoghurt and fruit was lovely.
Location was great, staff amazing.. only 10 mins walk to centre. Room was really lovely, tea/coffee etc. Carpark nearby, look for King Park. Kings Dock St, Liverpool L1 8LE at £10 for 24 hrs.. Fabulous bakery opposite.

United KingdomBlinds were electric and they didn’t work in our room but to be fair we didn’t alert reception about this who I’m sure would have sorted it. The window was quite small so the room was quite hot

United KingdomI messaged prior to ask for an ice bucket and champ flutes to be left on our arrival. The reception replied saying that this would be done for us. It wasn’t. We also arrived early but declined early check in, only to then try to check in at 3pm when the whole of the hotel also wanted to check in with only one member of staff on reception, why we couldn’t check in early and go to the room at 3pm was beyond me.
Location is good, 5 min walk from the dock.

United KingdomThe room was slightly on the smaller side but still not uncomfortably small. We did have a slight issue with our key card not working one day after the cleaner had entered the room, but the lovely guy on reception helped us out and even walked up to our room to ensure we got in. The shower screen was quite small so water ended up going everywhere and there was an iron, with no ironing board so was a bit tricky to use. Other than these small things which didn’t impact our stay at all, the hotel was absolutely spot on. We had an offer to use so got the room at a discounted price, but still would’ve paid full price very happily.
Very stylish and querky. It is in the perfect area, only a 5/10 minute walk from the docks and shopping centre which was ideal. No parking at the hotel itself but plenty multi storey car parks around the area and an ideal smaller outdoor car park just outside the hotel, where we left our car for 3 days without any hassle. The staff were absolutely amazing and so polite and lovely. They even let us use the bathroom facilities before we’d even checked in and explained they would send a text if the room was ready any earlier. There is a bar attached to the hotel but also plenty of facilities such as a coffee shop and off license on the same road. Very nice hotel.

United KingdomNot a massive dislike , they were still lovely, however On the Eggs Benedict I had slices of ham, rather than crispy bacon as advertised on menu. And unfortunately that morning there was no berry compote for my daughters pancakes. So nothing major was wrong.
The location was great. You could Park outside until 8am. But then I had to move to a carpark opposite where I had to pay £5.00 for 4 hrs. The carpark advertises it at £8 per day. However when you enter and try and pay by their website 'ParkIn', it's in fact £10. Unfortunately There was no room to park in the hotels designated parking areas down the side of hotel or opposite. Our room was on floor 3 , room 29. Pleasant room. Quality firm mattress. Blind did not fit window properly, so my daughter was woken up with light coming through the large gap by the side. You could not pull the blind up at all on the other window. Brilliant shower/bathroom facilities. Very modern, and the amplifier fridge was very different. The large television was great as well. The breakfast was lovely, and was included in the price I paid for our room. The gentleman that served us breakfast was very accommodating. I lost my purse outside property when I moved my car early morning , half asleep , unbeknown to me!. And someone brought it into reception. I am so grateful to whoever did this. There are good honest people out there . Would definitely stay here again. Very convenient place to stay. And everyone that worked there were kind with us and extremely accomodating.
