Location perfect to walk into Bath, beautiful gardens and outdoor pool. Free parking at the front of the hotel. Staff were so friendly and welcoming, twin room was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfasts were amazing, the flat white was the best I've had. Pantry menu was excellent and the Restaurant a la carte was just an amazing experience, so much more than we expected. We swam outside, inside, used sauna, steam room and had Garden spa signature treatment, just wonderful. Highly recommend a stay here as a very special treat, fantastic time spent catching up with my sister 😊

Mix up with my main course, it was handled OK but I felt it was my mistake when it was not . But I opted to eat the mistake and it was nice , I just would never have chosen fish for starter and fish for main course .

Breakfast was a little slow on the service (I waited 10-15 minutes for a pot of tea) but to be honest we were in no rush and it was a lazy Sunday so a tiny nit pic as the service was smiley and friendly.

Beautiful beautiful property. We got an upgrade on arrival which was a real treat. The bed is the comfiest bed I think I have ever slept in! The lady who checked us in (I’m sorry that I did not ask her name) was just so lovely and welcoming we felt so looked after. The property is so tastefully done and feels very luxurious and classy. The grounds are beautiful and the spa is lovely.

The aroma steam in the spa barely had any steam and no aroma. There were lots of kids who were quite loud, I didn't mind the children running around in the garden but didn't expect them to be in the spa/pools also as it's more of a cosy, romantic hotel. Ordered a couple of drinks to our room and water which was quite extortionate in relation to other costs, would have preferred having extra water in the room and available or a water fountain somewhere to be able to refill ourselves.

The staff were all lovely and welcoming but not too 'in your face' by any means. We were thrilled to be upgraded to a room with a balcony overlooking the gardens and honestly couldn't get enough of the view. The gardens were much bigger than expected and so beautiful. Our room was also extremely clean and comfortable, I can be a little particular about cleanliness when staying elsewhere and this truly was great! Bathroom was also gorgeous, spacious and always warm which is nice. We didn't want to leave!

Not a bad thing to say. Pillows aren’t too my taste as i like a firmer pillow but that’s my personal preference :)

Property was beautiful inside and out. Love the history of the place. Beds were super comfy. Love the free toiletries as well. Reception was lovely and gave us a tour of the hotel and some key information about the spa opening times etc. The staff were also very good with room service, bring up fresh milk etc. Had my first ever massage, made me feel nice and relaxed, pool and sauna after was a nice bonus! Will definitely be coming again.

This place is a credit to the Relais and Chaeau brand. A stately home in the City. walking distance from the centre. From Check-in to Check-out the servive and hospitality is lovely. We had a problem or shall I sau I had a problem when we first booked. I had a stroke 3 days before we were to arrive. The Hotel did not lose a step in rearranging the booking (which was on the weekend before Chrsitmas) and as a result a break like this was a lovely rest. They have though about all the options here so we dined in the Pantry first night and the Menu Gastronomique the second. All food was lovely and beautifully presented. Rooms were large and lacked for nothing. We will be back for the Spa

Slight noise in room, but we are use to absolutely no noise! So many people might not have noticed it, it only came on in the morning.

We went for my partners birthday as he loves spas. The spa facilities were perfect and quiet. The staff in the spa and hotel were incredibly helpful. Our room was upgraded and we were welcomed with a gift from the spa, a card from the hotel and gourmet biscuits for my partner’s birthday. It did get a bit cold but the night staff brought a portable heater to our room and made sure our radiators were turned up. Everyone was polite and we felt very welcomed.

Beautiful hotel, rooms, food and drinks. Staff couldn’t do enough to help. Rooms large and had everything you need for your stay. Ideal location, peaceful but only short walk into the centre of Bath.
