    Nothing to dislike.

Perfectly located for our needs. All the staff were most courteous and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The cooked breakfast was excellent.

Hot water in the bath took a long time to arrive. However, when it arrived it was scalding and difficult to regulate.

Breakfast was excellent value. Staff were very professional.

Couldn't work out how to turn radiators off or down; some warmth was needed because the weather was cool, but the room was a bit too warm.

The bed was comfortable, and the necessary facilities were provided, in the room and for breakfast. That was all I needed, because I was out all through the daytimes.

Bedroom furniture was a bit cheap but perfectly functional.

Location; halfway down high street very near eateries, shops and river. Free parking accessed from road at the back. Good breakfast; unlimited tea and coffee, cereal, toast and choice of cooked. Comfy beds in pleasant warm room. Bar is popular with locals. Great place to stay to tour Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, Gwent Coast and Black Mt's.

The bed was a little too hard for me and the shower was a bit rubbish.

Great place to stay. Such friendly welcoming people. Breakfast and coffee was great too. The manager was very accommodating. Location fantastic. They have a carpark but itcwas a bit small for my van but that was OK because there is a carpark opposite that isn't idiously expensive. I am definitely staying there again.

Parking, small car park and unfortunately the public car park close to the hotel has changed to a short stay so would have to continually put ticket on the car where in the past you could pay for a day at a time. Fortunately a space in the hotel car park became available

Really lovely staff. Very welcoming. We booked in an emergency got there late and staff was very helpful. Room was small but had everything you needed. Smart tv and Internet, clock, hairdryer, ironing, plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, toiletries. Bed and pillows really comfortable and was quiet. Full breakfast next day was excellent.

We (an elderly couple) would have liked a ground floor room, rather than the second floor (up two flights of stairs) room allocated. But we accept that our booking was made only a few days in advance, so can't really complain.

The location in the centre of Chepstow was ideal for our purposes. The breakfast (full English) was good value, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Weak water pressure in the shower (top floor of the hotel). Some coat hooks in the entrance to the room (#23) would be useful!

Staff really friendly and welcoming; breakfast was very filling, tasty and hot; plenty of space in the car park; room was warm and quiet, recently refurbished and comfortable.

The rooms are quite outdated but maybe being a listed building that’s inevitable. Room was quite cold as radiator in bedroom not heated. The bathroom was heated but not sufficient to warm the bedroom. I found the bed quite uncomfortable but the linens were good. Disappointed no meals were avail in the evening but plenty of restaurants and takeaways close by.

Rooms in the oldest pub in Wales. Good location with parking. Friendly pub. Excellent breakfast.

Breakfast serves only pork meat and when i asked if there is other type of meat she replied “ you can eat vegetarian” wasn’t too happy about that sarcasm.
