Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Being picky id say the electric shower pressure not the best
Prob the best single room ive had in Brid (& ive stayed in quite a few!),Spacious,modern decor & very clean,being surrounded mostly by bungalows the Seagull morning chorus is far enough away not to be a pain!

we liked everything
we recieved a warm welcome, the room was lovely bed very comfy everything you needed was in the room, we had a sea view which was lovely, the breakfast was really good will definitely stay there again, good parking spaces

They was nothing not to like everything was perfect.
Place was very close proximity to beach and town very quiet street got good night's sleep. Owner s was very polite and couldn't do enough for you very comfy bed room clean tidy really enjoyed my stay will def book here again

No complaints at all.
Went for the weekend and will definitely go again. Spotlessly clean throughout, the superior room was spacious and cosy, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The tea, coffee, hot chocolate, bottle of water, and cookies in our room were much appreciated, and every comfort met, including a hot water bottle in the drawer. Excellent choice of breakfast included in the price, and the cooked breakfast was lovely. Location is well placed within a 2 minute walk to the beach, and local shops, takeaways, pubs, and cafes all within a few minutes walk. Lisa and Pete were lovely hosts, friendly and welcoming. We got a takeaway on our second night, and Lisa was happy to open the dining room for us with the table set ready for us. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

All good
Great location for town centre. Host was very welcoming. We were asked to choose breakfast items the night before, breakfast was excellent. Room was clean and tidy. I would be very happy to stay again and highly recommend it.

Loved everything
The room was spotless cleaned everyday the breakfast was well cooked and presented full English breakfast plus fruit toast yogurt apple or orange juice lots of tea or coffee plus free parking

After a long drive through wind and rain I arrived at the Bluebell. Pete and Lisa answered the door and gave me a warm welcome. Room was exactly as described. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk hot chocolate and biscuits were all waiting in my room. Private bathroom and shower also. After filling out the breakfast form I could get a good nights sleep, followed by an excellent breakfast. Which I did!

There nothing not to like. It was a fantastic stay.
Lovely clean, quiet place. Breakfast was amazing, a choice to suit every need. Well located near the beach, and town centre with everything there, in walking distance. Travel 20 minutes by car, and sea hundreds of seals relaxing on the beach, amazing. Definitely come again in summer. Thank you

Nothing to dislike.
A lovely welcome and lovely cosy room. Only a 10 minute walk to all the Bridlington attractions. Good parking. I was only there for one night on business and had to leave early before breakfast which started at 0815 but there was a Costa just down the road which opened at 0700.
