Reception kindly changed my room which was originally at the very end of the hall in the newer section. That room had a lovely, beautifullly renovated, large bathroom, but the bedroom itself was small, dark and looked a bit sad with no pictures under picture lights, a mirror just propped up against the door adjoining the next bedroom and metal desk with chair that requires cleaning/reupholstering. The new room (#6) was lovely but the downside was that I could hear everything in the next room - from the television to the person visiting the loo.

Staff are lovely, breakfasts and restaurant very good. Location superb. Good value.

Breakfast was awful and no one asked if it was ok despite our group leaving most of it. The breakfast waitress was sullen which let done the great evening team and reception staff.

The rooms are not like the ones shown in the photos which are very luxurious. Very outdated, in a modern extension to the pub, and in serious need of a refurb. There were long dark hairs in the light coloured carpet from previous guests.

The hotel is lovely. I think the bathroom grout could do with a deep clean to get rid of mould. The room could do with an updated smart tv with Netflix potentially. Other than these two points the property was lovely.

Unfortunately, I think it's slightly over priced (£160 1 night). This may be because we had to book a standard double room as we booked last minute and it's all that was available. The room was tiny! Quite claustrophobic, not much room with two of you, no room to move around. The en suite was also very small. We only stayed one night and spent most of the time out of the room so it wasn't too much of an issue. If we stayed again we would book a bigger room as some of them looked stunning! They also take genius discount which helps 😊

Gorgeous atmosphere, beautifully designed and put together, very cosy and inviting! Amazing food, The best creme brulee I've ever had! 😋 Staff were fab and the rooms were quiet other than the sounds of the river and the birds 💚Very sweet little village to wander through at night. Great location for driving to hiking areas! Would definitely visit again.

Car parking was difficult - narrow entrance and congested at top of car park. Especially if function room in use.

Friendliness and helpfulness of staff; location of hotel and quality of food. Nice lounge area to meet up before going through for meal. Quirky decore and boutique rooms.

Restaurant staff in evening abrupt, had same round of drinks twice and second time £4 dearer, cheese n biscuits charged differently than listed price and not as described, really don't like the set up in the dining area - looks cheap, brash and uninviting. Nightmare car park!

The picture they sent was a four posted bed, nowhere to be found in my room. Upstairs floorboards were very noisy and the shower was Impossible to control the temp.

The fact I was meeting lots of Friends made the trip.
