Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainMenu was expensive.
Nice welcome, easy check in and out. Food needs attention. The crispy beef dish was bland. We had to leave early and we could order a packed lunch as an alternative to having breakfast.

SpainThe menu is a bit expensive but the food is good.
I had to leave early so the hotel arranged a packed lunch for me to take away. Every detail of the hotel is quality.

United KingdomProperty was great value for money. Inside bar/restaurant areas are really lovely, perfect place to unwind. Both breakfast and evening meal were tasty and plenty of choice of drinks. Biggest asset are the staff. Really friendly and accommodating. Managed to book a table of six for dinner ahead of our stay, in the morning a table of six for breakfast was already there waiting. A welcome change from the more crowded areas of the Lake District, and the hotel has ample parking. We went for a hike around Burnmoor tarn, setting off from Dalegarth railway only ten minutes away from the Bridge Inn and had a lovely day. Plenty choice of other walks near. Would not hesitate to stay again, thank you very much for having us!

United KingdomOnly thing that wasn't perfect was window was starting to wear and I didn't really feel confident opening it. There are a lot of creaky floor boards but it's a very old building and this is normal
Lovely place to stay. Very cosy fabulous breakfast and I dined in the restaurant with 14 friends and everyone was praising the quality of the food. Beautiful locatio and confy room. I would definitely stay again.

United KingdomNothing really, a lovely restful place.
The pub part is wonderful having been recently refurbished to a high standard. Breakfast and evening meals were excellent. The room and bed were comfortable and all areas were exceptionally clean. There was a good selection of local ales and whiskies. The staff were lovely, really warm and welcoming. Will be back soon with my wife and dog. Very good value for money compared to local competitors, I have stayed at a couple of them. Handy for Wasdale and Eskdale.

United KingdomNo control over heating in the room, was cold during the day and woke up to lots of condensation on the inside of the windows. 2 bar staff were rather curt and unfriendly ( maybe they were over stretched due to being really busy on a Friday and Saturday night?!)
Lovely king size bed in a spacious room, nice large walk in shower. Very dog friendly, with newly refurbed bar/restaurant area, amazing member of staff called Cate! Accommodating in customising my food which was a mix from dishes on the menu.

United KingdomThe weather (haha)
This unique Inn is set in the tranquill village of Stanton Bridge. If you are looking for a remote country feel...this is your place to go. The Inn is just a stones throw from Scafell Pike, Wast Water ( England's deepest lake ) and St Olaf's Church ( the smallest church ). Food was excellant and a decent range of drinks. There is also a cosy small open hearth in the bar. The room we had was to the front of the building ... the room itself was quirky as it had a slope, comfy bed and orginal style wooden windows :)

United KingdomOnly thing (which is nothing to do with the inn itself) is the route the sat nav can take you to get there as a warning if you are coming from windermere way be very careful the sat nav does not take you wrynose hardknot pass way as it is a terrifying white knuckle ride all the way there. And once you are on it there is no turning back best to Google hardknot pass if you are thinking about attempting to go that way as really wish we had had this warning
All the Staff there were exceptional very friendly and helpful. Reception, cleaning, bar and cooks all helped in someway during our stay I.e slept through breakfast but still offered toast cereal and coffee was helped with directions home etc Food was lovely and big portions too. Rooms very clean and comfortable nice relaxed vibe . Very dog friendly
