Food was excellent, limited vegetarian choice but what I had was delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive. Room was comfortable and very clean and tidy.

Price didn’t include breakfast which was £9.99 a head but strangely that didn’t include coffee, fruit juices etc. which were all extra, and as we were a party of ten 10% service charge was added to the bill. Shame.Just took the edge of a bit. Total price ended up at £133.50 per night for b&b.

Breakfast was great unfortunately the evening restaurant doesn’t open on Mondays. Not sure about Tuesday or Wednesday. The restaurant is why I chose the inn!

Breakfast is a little pricey as you pay for every individual item separately. But it was delicious.

Great hotel on the outskirts of Buxted. Comfortable room with great shower and tea/coffee tray facilities.

Rooms have been very nicely refurbished and were spotless. All staff were very welcoming and did everything to make our brief stay enjoyable.

We didn't like the breakfast pricing method. You pay for each item separately: main dish, juice, coffee, toasts with butter and jam. If you want a meal equivalent to the one you get in other hotels (which includes everything mentioned above in the price of the meal) it comes to a much higher price than what you pay in other hotels of this level. It's stingy and annoying. From conversations with other guests we realized that we are not the only ones who think so. On the second day we preferred to eat outside.

The inn is very nice. The service is good and friendly. The drinks in the bar are not expensive. The restaurant - on the days it works - is quite good. On the day the restaurant was closed there was a food truck near the inn.

Pillows needs to change more often probably, as they were flat and not comfortable. Butter for the toast at the breakfast came straight out of fridge and was quite difficult to spread over a cold toast. Maybe should be taken out of fridge in the morning prior to serving?

Nice little quiet location, very friendly locals and staff and couldn’t fault the food or service one bit. Excellent hotel and pub. If ever in the area again I hope I can get a room because there is a lot more food to try, great coffee and tea in the room too 👌 definitely recommend!

The room and bathroom were clean and attractive and had everything you would need. There's even an ironing board in the hallway! The public spaces were also nicely done. The breakfast was very tasty and the à la carte menu probably results in less waste than the normal 'one size fits all' or buffet breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had two nights in total and would happily stay there again.
