The location short drive to Cambridge University Athletics track where I was competing in evening. Friendly hosts. Comfortable bed. Short walk to bar below where I had a welcoming drink with nice music playing after returning from my running competition.

The stairs to the rooms are from behind the pub, not that anything could be done to it, but is an akward walk. We've noticed one of the staff from pub using the toilets without closing the doors, therefore was thrown off from a perfect stay. Apart from it the time over there was fun.

The bed was horrible and poorly made. 2 mattresses on top of eachother were very wobly. We removed the lower one which was very dirty. A lot of noise all the time, from evening to very early morning. Only one bathroom with the only toilet inside for a couple of rooms

Great location, only a 10 min bustrip (which stops right in front of the pub) into the city centre. Nice people working here.

Getting to the rooms you have to go through a back alley or the kitchen at night. Loud music until 1 am. Rooms rather oldish and shared bathroom.

Really uncomfortable bed. Not very soundproof, so you'll hear parties at the bar. They were about an hour late for check in. No soap or shampoo in the bathroom-- only dishwashing soap in the kitchen.

They had a pub-- but no ale and the lager we had tasted off. There's a kitchen, with very basic supplies. The hosts were nice.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. The bedroom and bathroom were absolutely spotless. The only thing that might have helped is if there were a few more bathrooms?

Myself and my partner liked the fact that the Carlton Arms was perfect short distance away from Cambridge centre. We also liked how kind and attentive Daniel was, and he was obviously a big hit with the locals and everyone who visited.

There was some noise from the pub below till 10.30-11 pm ish. Shared bathroom is, naturally, less convenient than an en-suite, but this is clear from the room details so you know this will be the case before arrival.

Basic, comfortable and very very clean accommodation. Would not hesitate to use again. You get more than you pay for, but it doesn't cost much. I was impressed with the full kitchen at guests disposal and the spacious room. Kind and considerate staff.

It was very loud at night because of the pub below. Under our rooms there was the kitchen with extreamly loud ventillators. Smelly as well due to the oil. Bathroom is clean but old. The main person who was in charge was very rude. Kitchen is slow and the food is way top oily.

Dirty inside, difficult to access upstairs rooms, not clean, poor bed and facilities . Very noisy room over outdoor bar, until midnight.
