Hosts were extremely welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic and the sea view from our room was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were very accomodating. Thank you for making our anniversary an enjoyable one.

Room was a little compact especially en-suite. Slight issue with small infestation of insects in shower and also damp smell on our landing which we could smell in the room. This was improved by Dave for the second night. Rather a lot of flights of stairs to reach our room!

I would have liked to have soap or hand wash provided. We would also have preferred to have had breakfast a little earlier.

The location is exceptional with great views and proximity to the town. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. Beds very comfortable and lots of wardrobe and storage space.

We had to climb 47 steps to get to our room, but it was much needed exercise. Anti-social cars and motorbikes with stupidly loud exhausts kept driving past the room during the night. Not going anywhere. Just driving round and round getting on everyone's nerves. It's a shame we couldn't employ an automatic stinger device outside the hotel to shred their tyres.

Our room had a very comfortable king-size bed and we both slept so well all week. The view over the old harbour was stunning. The room was cool and perfect for our needs. Breakfast was great. We ate outside on a couple of occasions. I would recommend the cheese and mushroom omelette.

Location was excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good value for money, some maintenance in the room we stayed in needed, but we just slept there. I would suggest a fan for summer and heater for winter to be placed in the rooms, because there are no air control in the room.

I did read the previous reviews before booking and noticed quite a few Negatives. The smell of stale smoke was one and this was the case on arrival .I was worried but we did not smell it again . Some reviews said about the decor and upkeep There were a few bits that could be improved such as the Damp smell in bathroom and broken tile by side of the toilet that came up( maybe they didn't know). The building is very old so do not expect modern show home furniture and condition. We have an old house and you are going to find doors that don't fit ect and old woodwork. Plugs including USB would be helpful and maybe a tiny fridge for water and a fan for the warmer weather. We would return to this accomodation again.

Great choice at breakfast and freshly cooked to order. The dining area was comfortable, clean with lovely decor. The view from our room was excellent with a quaint little seating area on the balcony off our room. We loved the location ,lots in area and very central. The owners were very welcoming . Beds were comfy with lovely soft sheets.There was a good selection of teas, coffees, biscuits and complementry toiletries in the room. The room looked like it had been freshly decorated and had some nice homely bits.

Very poor Shower with poor pressure, No heating. Small old Tv with the remote not working with the volume . Aerial cable was just dangling near wardrobe , very untidy and unsafe.
