Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe stairs up to the room were very steep and narrow - glad I didn't have too much luggage. You need a PhD to use the TV and the bathroom was a little tired in places. The car park was very small and narrow - challenging to use in a larger car.
It was in a great location. The room was huge with a comfy bed. The nearby clock tower disturbed me a bit (although not an unpleasant sound) but the second night was better when I actually used the ear plugs provided.

United KingdomWe wasted time driving round Leicester trying to find the car park. I did not appreciate wasting time & fuel and being later than expected for check-in. I found the car park totally by accident, on the third time round while stuck in traffic. I suggest in your lengthy text with key safe codes, door codes and parking gate codes you actually say where the car park is.
The venue & room was beautiful. Spacious, clean, quiet apart from the church clock lol. Great though that ear plugs are provided, thank you

United KingdomA little more attention to detail in vacuuming room. Lighting was not good in the room for applying make up. Ahhh well. Lots of stairs made it difficult for elderly, but they managed.
Breakfast was not included in the booking. Room was lovely and warm when we've arrived at 8pm. That was important. Big comfy bed. Apartment space was perfect

United KingdomDifficult to find. Directions to the car park were, no help at all - literally ages driving circles in a complicated one way system (possibly made worse by numerous road closures). We tried to get some better directions, but the helpline went to voicemail. When we found the rooms, the man on the door had no clue where the car park was. Found it after walking around for a while. Had actually passed entrance a few times - needs much better signage Room was cold on arrival - eventually warmed when heating finally kicked in and not a problem thereafter. If you're not ok with street noise at night, it could be a problem - but ear plugs were supplied
Pre arrival notifications of various codes to get in were clear and easy to understand. Very central. Near to sites, shopping, and wide variety of feeding/drinking places. Very clean. Room was extremely spacious. Bed very comfy. Staff we met in the morning were very helpful.

United KingdomRooms were too hot so had to open windows and the clock tower (as advised) was noisy every 15 mins through the night, as were the people in the room above me who were clearly enjoying themselves ALL night (all I can say is well done for stamina).
Lovely large rooms, nice facilities and handy extras like a coffee machine and fridge. Great little car park included in the price and brilliant central location.

United KingdomThe room had not been thoroughly cleaned - there were sticky bits underneath the radiator, by the plug sockets and around the light switches. Also, the majority of the lightbulbs in the room were not working which made it hard to see without using additional lamps. We had to turn around the spotlights in the bathroom as half of them weren't working - we couldn't see the toilet otherwise! Also, the staff were inattentive and (almost) rude - I made it clear at the time of booking (8 weeks before arrival) that we specifically needed to use the car park, and was told this wouldn't be a problem. However, less than 24 hours before the arrival I was told that this wouldn't be possible due to a function they had booked in. While I understand the car park is very small and the function needed spaces, I felt this could have been communicated to me a lot sooner! It was very stressful as I had to source alternative car parking at short notice, incurring extra expense. Had I been given more notice (the receptionist told me the function was booked 2-3 weeks prior), I wouldn't have been as frustrated. However, I SPECIFICALLY said when booking that I needed to use the car park - and had only booked this particular hotel due to it having a car parking space! I told the staff of our arrival time, as requested. I phoned the day before and also emailed to confirm this time. However, upon arrival (as agreed with the hotel), there was nobody at reception and we were waiting 20 minutes for a staff member to arrive to check us in. The hotel was pleasant, but because of the above, I wouldn't stay again or recommend to a friend.
The location is ideal as easy walking distance to the city centre and university. The rooms are large and comfortable with a range of amenities including tea, coffee, tv etc.

United KingdomParking difficult due to access works around. More instruction on how to get to the car park would have been useful. Didn't like the style interior and furniture. Access to the room was a bit tortuous with no lift and winding narrow stair. The bath/shower was very slippy and an additional grab rail would have been safer.
It was a great location, and comfortable room. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
