Vegetarian / healthy choices in restaurant very limited. I had fish and chips. The fish was laden with oil. The chips too dry and tasteless. I chose fruit juices to drink and both choices very laden with additives and sweeteners.

Some intermittent road noise into the bathroom. (My room was situated in part of a block of chalet-like rooms.) However, closing the bathroom door was very effective in blocking this noise from the bedroom. The main door to the room was difficult to close, seemingly snagging on the carpet. However, given that this door opens on to the external pathway, a tight seal is required (e.g. for protection against possible intrusion of insects, slugs, etc.).

Although the room was a little small, it was quite satisfactory for a night or two. The bed was comfortable and the cleanliness very good. The vegetarian breakfast was excellent, as was the egg mayonnaise sandwich with salad and chips. The bar is friendly and during 'Wacky Wednesday' the beer is cheaper to buy. I had the impression that 'Locals' frequent the bar, which is a good sign too. Parking spaces are plentiful, which given the location is essential.

Our very large bed was very hard and uncomfortable and the pillows were to thin .

Dressing table could do with being a bit larger. Or have the tea making somewhere else.

Only three less satisfactory points, this is purely down to personal preference and no way a major negative. Service in the bar was a little slow and glassed served without being dried and polished to begin with. Service in the restaurant was OK, but wine was put on the table and not poured, and empty glasses were not removed until prompted. All this can be resolved with additional training to make was was a lovely stay even better. Also. The bed in the room needs locks on the wheels. Sat up in bed to drink a morning coffee, and the bed slid from the wall because it's on castors.

We booked in for a 1 night stay as we were attending a function locally. The hotel itself it's clean, tidy and welcoming. The steak night food was exceptional and great value for money.

There was a problem with the wet room bathroom where the water came into the bedroom and left the floor in the bathroom wet as it did not drain away properly on checking out there was nobody to report this to but I feel they must know about it from the housekeeping staff

we did ask if poss to check in a bit earlier as had a wedding to attend but said it be a charge I thought maybe they honour it as we had to get changed ready at service station on a long journey.there where other guests staying also and our room was already free from night before .

Rooms could do with some modernisation and shower head needs replacing. WiFi was not great, which meant I was unable to work from the room.

Hotel is situated in a good location for wither Northampton or heading up the A14. Dinner and breakfast was very good.

Shower flooded over the entrance to the en suite so my feet got wet when I went back in. Some chairs in the restaurant were a bit stained and needed cleaning. Room a bit pink (decor).

Slightly in the middle of nowhere but not a problem with car. I would say a tad over priced for what it is but that may be because of the location
