Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe bed was a little hard, but not enough to make us achey in the morning.
Loved how close it was to the ferry pier.Nice sized bathroom & cozy room. A nice continental breakfast was left in our room: juice, milk, & cheese in the mini fridge, and croissants, jam, sweets on the coffee/ tea area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant offered delicious food!

United KingdomGreat location, very close to Skye ferry Friendly staff. Bonus in that I thought they didn’t do breakfast, however I had muesli, croissants and fresh milk in the room as well as the usual tea and coffee. Made the stay good value for money.

United KingdomWhen the restaurant was closed for the day, so was the Hotel reception area and seating. We had arranged to meet up with friends there, but it was all locked up.
The location was excellent - very near the harbour to the Isles. The room was very clean and had a very good shower. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The meal at the restaurant was fabulous - one of the best fish meals ever. Parking was good with a place at the front of the Hotel.

United KingdomA good continental breakfast is provided in the room, plus coffee and biscuits. The location is very good, close to the harbour. No parking at the hotel, but easy to get parked in the street. Facilities are basic (no residents lounge), but the staff were great, assisting us to secure our bicycles at night and generally very helpful. Overall great value.

United KingdomNothing not to like, expect a small amount of noise as you are above a restaurant, however it's not late. Shame the restaurant didn't have a bar for just drinks, but there was a lovely local bar opposite the co op, very friendly and lively.
Warm friendly welcome, perfect location. Was booked as just a room, yet we had a very generous continental breakfast left in room, which was above and beyond, and such a nice touch. Would highly recommend.

United KingdomNot enough plugs in the room! On the evening we were there, unfortunately the whole town seemed to be out of action due to another event so there was no hotel restaurant/kitchen open. We were however provided with a good selection of continental breakfast pieces in the room which we were very appreciative of. The TV didn’t work well!

Good location, especially for ferries. Very friendly staff, comfortable, roomy & warm on a fairly miserable night. Fish meal was amongst the best we’ve had on our trip

New ZealandCloseness of room doors meant it was noisy when other guests entered and left their rooms. TV remote didn't work (likely just needed new batteries) but no one around to ask - this wasn't a deal breaker though.
Close to main street. Offering of breakfast items for self-made breakfast was unexpected but much appreciated. Although small, it was a very comfortable room.

GermanyNothing, all good!
Quite but cental location. the room has everything you need. Most of all the host is going above and byond to make sure everything is just perfect! There are some snacks and hot drinks provided in the room. I just mentioned, that we won't be having that, since we are vegan and for the next couple of days the host brought us oatmikl, fruit and vegan chocolate bars! Apart from it being lovely we really apprechiated the guesture! Thank you very much again!
