It was clean rooms where big. Staff were really friendly, and all for a really good price. Would stay again for sure.

Lack of communication about there being no food available. Seems as though the land lady was leaving, so she wasn't too bothered about the guests. Shame as the pub itself was lovely.

The glass shelf between the mirror and the sink. Whilst very convenient for putting stuff on gets right in the way of you washing your face as the sink is quite small. (sink is fine by the way, and needs to be small due to the compact room) Other than that, it was all good.

Location was perfect for us as we needed a stop on the way home from an event in cornwall Room was more than adequate and the bed comfortable.

At present there is no food at all, not even tea/coffee available in the bar, but I knew this before booking. There are alternative pubs and cafes.

Very good location and characterful historic pub. It's about to change management and I was told it will shortly close and be refurbished.

Functional rather than welcoming, a little sad. Pub is changing hands & chef has left so no food or breakfast. Staff helpfully recommended somewhere to eat & plenty of shops to get snacks.

Mix up with the Booking.com listing that said I was in a bigger room on the second floor when in fact I was in a tiny room on the first with an exterior door. Also, they lost their chef two weeks before I visited so there was no food served.

Inexpensive and no frills. Great location for exploring the moors and tors. Nice parking lot and quiet after 10 pm.

No food as the Chef had left a couple of weeks previously. The coffee machine in the bar was broken. Someone asked for ice in their drink to be told there was no ice! It seemed the place is slowly being allowed to die, which is a huge shame, it's a fabulous building, lots of character & for the sake of getting a chef & restarting food service it's drifting away. Speculate to accumulate as the saying goes.

A lovely, traditional town centre inn. Plenty of parking. Large spacious room. Good selection of beers & spirits in the bar.

Through no fault of their own, The Cromwell is starting to look tired. There is no food available and they have no chef at the moment.

We have stayed at The Cromwell many times over the last few years and the staff have always been welcoming and friendly.

No restaurant available during the stay . It didn’t appear to be up to the standards that we experienced in August ‘21 . When we asked to check in at 15.00 hrs ilo 16.00 hrs we were told we could ( as the rooms were ready/ available) but it would cost £10 / room extra !!!!! Certainly not Customer friendly 😡
