Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Room was great, I love old buildings and the four poster bed was lovely, the wonky floor was fun and the modern items blended in unobtrusively. Bathroom is large and well appointed. We also had an extra 'secret room' via a very old staircase which was a surprise. We ate in both evenings and enjoyed everything we tried. Sea Bass was particularly good.

The breakfast was really good but I do like a small buffet with bread and pastries also maybe as was quiet it wasn’t viable to put out the cereals etc.
The lovely cosy bar ,the food and the man behind the bar that took the time to welcome us and give us a bit of history on the village and the bar. Loved it all can’t wait to go back in May.

The room was quite dark even with lights on at night and I had to fix their toilet seat but apart from that it was a great stay.
We got an upgrade to their suite and it was grand, charming and quirky at the same time - we loved it!

The rooms are too warm!!
The history, the decor, the ambience, the staff. The breakfast was fabulous…smashed avocados with tomato poached egg and chilli on sourdough. Excellent.

My room unfortunately had a radiator that wasn’t working but on asking for a heater they did supply one. The additional blanket on the bed was marked, and the bathroom could have been cleaner such as the bin was full and should have been emptied.

The age & history of the building means that upstairs floors & walls are not level and I (personally) struggled to sleep

When we arrived there was no heat in the room and was freezing. Complained and staff apologised saying the room was on a separate heating circuit and was turned off. She turned it on and after about an hour we could finally take our overcoats off. Thought that had resolved the issue but in the morning NO HEAT OR HOT WATER. We were leaving early so did not have it turned on but this issue needs to be resolved.
Nice room, well equipped. Liked the bottle of beer which was a nice extra. Breakfast was good.

Excellent from arrival to departure.. friendly welcome, helped with luggage. Table reserved for food , relaxing atmosphere, bedroom immaculate and cosy, lights already on in room, warm, slippers dressing gown, tea coffee etc .. and breakfast In the morning in a calm atmosphere and was good.

Breakfast, it took a while to find anyone to serve us, and the food was a little over fancy and small portions.
