Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomStaff in the breakfast restaurant didn't seem that attentive. They were not ready at the time it was suppose to be open. Other than that was brillant hotel. That is the only part which let the hotel down.
Facilities was amazing! Couldn't fault it. Room was very very clean. Attention to detail was brillant. Family room with all sizes of our children dressing gowns ready for them to wear. Even providing kid shampoo and body wash. Location was brillant right on fistal beach. All the hotel was really clean. Didn't use to restaurant so can't comment too much on food in the evening. Breakfast was great and had all you could ask for. Family room is massive! Plenty of space for 4 kids atleast.

United KingdomThe TV was set up in front of the sea view, which didn't make sense. Parking was a bit confusing. In my head, for the family room, I was expecting a bath but it was just a shower (not the end of the world). There was a lot of dust on the head board where the lights ran across.
We very much enjoyed our stay here. They were accommodating with our late arrival, offered us free drinks as an anniversary gift and staff were super friendly and helpful.

IrelandDidnt like the tv, although flat screen, wasn't the best. Quite small for size of room. When tv was turned on, there was a line down through the screen with a dark patch at the top of picture. Could definitely do with more variety on the menu in the hotel, as choice of eateries in the area are very limited.
Room size. View from bedroom was lovely. Bed very comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good task lighting in the bedroom. Loved watching the surfers and the waves

United KingdomI could never get a car parking space out side the hotel car park however I was able to get one on the road which is free. That area got really busy with surfers.
Good location and had lots of facilities available like the jacuzzi. Breakfast selection was good. Also town was a 15 min walk from the hotel

United KingdomThe only real downfall about the property was the staff members. There always seemed to be lots of staff milling about but no one overly engaging or covering all areas. We often found we were having to get attention or wait 15-20 minutes for a drink at the bar yet several members of staff in sight having their own chit chat or our plates being left obviously empty without being cleared while they stood behind the bar, right next to our table, talking about the nights out, uni experience or recreational hobbies or on their phones.
We loved the location, the facilities and how welcoming it was for children as this is a massive anxiety for us looking to stay anywhere and exceeded our expectations.

United KingdomMini fridge in the room - not fit for purpose as it didn’t keep drinks cold and our toddler’s milk curdled. Bedrooms - functional on the whole, but need some TLC to smarten up to a 4 star standard. Wonky fittings and fixtures, poorly filled holes in walls, old carpets, uncomfortable beds and cheap feeling bed linens. Bed - uncomfortable, hurt our backs and didn’t sleep well. Hot drinks machine in the restaurant - very temperamental and not always working. Breakfast - not worth the cost (£25 for adults) if not included in your stay package. Drinks from the bar - £4 for a diet cola on tap, expensive. We didn’t bother having anything else after this.
Reception staff - helpful, welcoming and friendly. Location - nicely positioned at the top end of Fistral Beach (but note it’s a fairly decent walk into town). Gorgeous view from the front of the hotel. Parking - we had no troubles during our stay in the first week of September, but at peak times, it might be more difficult as there are only a handful of spaces at the hotel. Otherwise, it’s first come first serve on street parking. Swimming pool - a nice to have facility open 8am to 9pm daily, also with a hot tub and sauna. Onsite mini cinema - several showings of family films which we really enjoyed with our toddler. Soft play and games area - located next to the restaurant so parents can have a drink or bite to eat and keep an eye on little ones whilst they play. Housekeeping - the rooms and hotel as a whole was kept clean at all times. In room hospitality tray - well stocked with some tasty shortbread biscuits and hot chocolate and marshmallows for children. Outdoors play area - good fun for children with a lovely view of the sea.

United KingdomParking was a nightmare. We parked at the hotel - it said ‘reserved’ assuming for guests. We were wrong, we had to pre book parking, therefore needed to move the car and with 3 and 5 yr old this was far from ideal. Whilst the room was spacious the bathroom was poor - cold tap took a good few minutes to run cold, there was very little shower pressure. Could do with an upgrade.
Brilliant location, right on the sea front! Room was huge for family of 4. Lovely indoor and outdoor play areas for the kids. Really good breakfast!!

United KingdomWe don’t like that we had to pay an additional £65 for the dog when we had booked it because it was a dog friendly hotel. Slow service on reception and for a £365 stay for one night the bar wasn’t clean and the reception weren’t overly helpful or friendly.

United KingdomOnly very minor things: - you need to reserve parking, there was no information about this on the booking.com website. Roadside parking is incredibly limited and tricky to find a spot. Advanced notice of this would be much better for the hotel guests. - more vegan & veggie options. Particularly for my children with additional diary allergies. Only vegan kids option was tomato pasta. Perhaps a plant based burger or vegan pizza? And some plant based butter portions with the breakfast. I could only eat one thing from the main dinner menu too, we would have eaten a second night if there was more variety.
Absolutely brilliant holiday. Staff were super friendly and exceptional service. Room was lovely, clean and relaxing. Went for my partners 40th and he was very looked after. Kids loved all the activities and facilities.
