Hand held shower was not good enough. TV did not work in room, Staff couldn't sort it out.

We loved everything

Stunning location, able to walk on the moors from the Inn’s front door. Big rooms with lovely decor, and incredibly comfortable beds. Cozy pub / restaurant downstairs and the food was absolutely incredible, made with super fresh local ingredients. Fantastic staff.

We were there for New Years Eve and were dissapointed that the bar closed at 10.30 and there was nowhere to celebrate the New Year as the residents lounge was full of a group of people playing cards. Such a shame as everything else about our stay was perfect.

Perfect place to stay in the middle of Exmoor. We loved the deco of the Inn and the bedrooms were beautiful. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had a great meal. The following day we were able to walk straight from the Inn up the river Barle which was great.

The noise from the bar area permeated upstairs into the rooms making an early nights sleep difficult.

Large spacious room, clean, modern and well kept. Good remote location. Staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Food was superb and not overly priced. I would definitely stay there again.

We had such a lovely weekend here, the building is a wonderful old Victorian pub/hotel with great spaces beautifully decorated and furnished. We had a wonderful dinner of the owners’ beef & good breakfast next morning. We were walking Two Moors Way which goes past door so perfect location. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Martin and team were really helpful and welcoming. We had a discrepancy when checking out concerning the payment of the booking with booking.com Martin sorted everything out and looked after us. A credit to the pub.

The hotel was a bit too warm for us so that even though we didn't have the radiator on in the room and the window wide open, the central heating in the building made it difficult for us to sleep as soundly as we would have otherwise.. maybe that was just us though!.. the bed was very comfortable and spacious. We would definitely like to stay again and perhaps would have booked for two nights if the price was a little lower.

Our room was lovely and spacious with a large comfy bed.. and it had a bath which was very relaxing. Breakfast was good and so was dinner. The staff were polite and friendly, and very accommodating to our little rescue dog. We loved the fact that the hotel was so close to beautiful local walks (literally across the road from the Inn).

Honestly nothing!

Everything was perfect honestly cannot fault the stay. The staff were amazing and hands on - even the manager and the owner, nothing was too much trouble. They were very dog friendly as well which made a huge difference to the stay. Food amazing. There are always things you would do or do differently that’s just individual preference and of course no one can cater for every single need. These guys have got the right balance. I have been in this industry for a lot of years and it takes a lot to impress me but they managed. Advice - don’t change anything.

Central location for the activities we wanted to do in Exmoor National Park. Meals were good especially on Sunday and especially Sunday when it was going to be difficult to find someplace open.

Greater selection of fresh fruit...gluten-free options and quieter room but generally great! Guest ales would be a good addition 🍺

Marcin the manager was excellent and the other staff helpful and humourous!!! 😂
