Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The access to parking is VERY tight...we only used it once because it was too stressful to think of going back through the tiny opening. That said, it's nice that they offer it. And there is public parking right next door that is very reasonably priced.
The room was lovely and well furnished. There was room to spread out. The breakfast was excellent. All staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful.

Didn't use evening restaurant as a little expensive
Old style opulence, lovely decor, massive beds, High quality toiletries provided, Large TV, Quality radio alarm Nespreso machine and choice of teas and bottled water provided every day. Breakfasts very good choice and well cooked Everything you could need.

Nothing I didn’t like
Our room was very stylish, comfortable and large. The meal in the restaurant was amazing and freshly cooked. Breakfast was also freshly cooked and very large portions. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Thank you

The bathroom could do with a refurb it’s a bit dated. Also we got very hot at night, even in mid September with the windows open. A fan in the room would have been appreciated.
We stayed in Eve’s cottage which is just across the courtyard - the space was clean and so so cosy! We also enjoyed a delicious meal in the restaurant on Friday night. The hotel is exactly what a pub should feel like - highly recommended for a weekend getaway!

We had a fabulous stay in this beautifully modernised but truly iconic and historical hotel. I stayed here with my elderly mother who has some mobility issues but the staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble-so everything was made very easy for us and we felt very much at home 😃 We had afternoon tea on the day we arrived which we loved. Overall we had a wonderful time at the Feathers and would fully recommend this hotel to others 😃

Breakfast was poor overall. Full English - Anaemic sausage and cold items on the plate. The bacon was lovely. Heard another lady tell the waitress that hers was cold also. No one came to check so we couldn’t mention it.
The public areas of the building were decorated very well. All spotlessly clean and super relaxing. The bedroom was absolutely gorgeous. Loved every bit of the bedroom. Classical music playing on the radio to welcome us. Pillow spray - Lavender & Chamomile was a delightful touch. The bed was very comfortable. Everything spotlessly clean and decorated very tastefully and recently. Lovely pictures on the walls of the surrounding area. The room has the most sumptuous heavy curtains that were perfect. We were impressed with books, a radio, and even games to play within the room. The bathroom was also high end and beautifully thought out. Marvelous mirror that was lit and adjustable to suit. Very hospitable staff in bar and checkout.

Central hotel which is full of character. We booked a deluxe room and were very pleased with it. Towels and soft furnishings were of good quality, as were fixtures and fittings. Housekeeping was very good. Staff are efficient, smiley and friendly. Food, at both dinner and breakfast was very good, well-cooked and nicely presented. Alcohol was reasonably priced.

We were on the second floor. The room was quite hot. We had to have the window open so unfortunately had noise from the street all night. It's only a minor thing, and compensated by being a beautiful old hotel.

Car parking was an issue understandable though

Air conditioning.
Stay excellent. Only thing to mention is the room was very warm. We experienced particularly hot weather during our stay. We did have two fans in the room but they provided only limited success in cooling the room. However, we would stay again in the future.

The bedroom was overly warm in August. We were provided with a fan but struggled to get cool.
Extremely comfortable lounge area, quiet and perfect for intimate conversation. The bedrooms are very nicely furnished and comfortable.
