No milk for tea making facilities in room, bath but only shower facilities plus some drainage/plumbing issues. No breakfast due to flooding (can’t be helped) but was very matter of fact and no apology or anything - still waiting for refund that was promised too

We were upgraded to a slightly larger ground floor room and refunded 15GBP because the kitchen had been flooded and breakfast was not available. Host recommended a cafe at the local garden centre which was amazing and which we wouldn't have seen otherwise.

lovely shower but was pretty dodgy, sloping floor with ceramic tiles, not clever at all for anyone, far less, someone with a bad leg. Also paid for parking and came back to find no avaliable spaces and then get told the person in my space was a member of staff ???,again not clever.

room was lovely, gave me a room on the ground floor at a minutes notice because I had injured my knee, couldn't fault that, staff were lovely and helpful.

Only one moan and that was no car spaces left as we got there after 6. There are lots of spaces just obviously busy. But there is a car park right next to hotel.

Room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was brilliant. Lots of choice and selection from the buffet plus table service for a full cooked one. Staff polite and helpful. Very nice place to stay.

My only negative was that our shower tray kept filling up and leaking. They did attend to it immediately after I raised the issue, however it continued to fill up. It was just a bit stressful having a shower as we didn’t want to cause a flood.

We were in a separate annexe which suited us. The staff were very helpful, kind and friendly. They accommodated our dog and made a real fuss of her. If you’re looking for a dog friendly stay I would recommend! Breakfast was very good too, lots of choice and nice food.

Stayed a few months ago and preferred the way they took your hot breakfast order. It’s now buffet style and there wasn’t always a full choice. Great selection of other food stuff though.

We were originally put over the road in the Log House but weren’t happy so asked for a room in the main hotel instead which was arranged no problem.

No eggs for breakfast had hardly any scrambled eggs not enough for three people and we asked for fresh fried eggs or boiled eggs or poached eggs and they said no, but a man said they did it for him two hours ago

There is some noise from other rooms due to the age and construction of the building. You can hear people moving around in other rooms, but this was late afternoon rather than late at night.

Beautiful breakfast and lovely staff. Free coffees throughout the stay. Rooms are clean and reflect the price you pay. Stayed a few times already and will be staying again.

The room was a bit tired, somethings didn’t work well .. amazing shower but poorly vented meant everything in the bathroom felt damp . Had to park in the car park , £21 for three days , not enough parking onsite ..

The staff were very helpful and attentive. Good breakfast, lots of choice .. Great place to stay if you have or like dogs ..

It was not very clean, many dogs hair all over the place, not convenient being highly allergic to dogs. We found as well an empty red wine bottle in the closet, probably from a previous client. We saw dog food lying on the terrace rug and full ashtray from previous clients. That was quite disappointing. Very limited parking.

The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was nice and warm. Breakfast in the morning was basic but tasty. More plant based products would be appreciated.

Room needed some tlc, wallpaper hanging off, bathroom walls need painted and toilet flush was half missing.

This was our second stay at the Fisherbeck. It’s a basic hotel, the room we were in needed some TLC but it’s generally clean and is in a good location. Breakfast is ok, the first morning it was cold but the second it was fine - it’s buffet so luck of the draw I guess. It’s fine for 1-2 nights but I don’t think I’d book for a longer stay.

The building was a bit hostel-like. Corridors are very narrow and not great sound proofing. On our first night, I was woken by people running along the corridor at 1am and again at 6.30am. The entrance is very basic and dining area the same. Dog friendly, but only the reception area was available for breakfast, which had only 3 tables.

Good location on outskirts of Ambleside - short walk into the centre. Comfy bed, but room size a little small to have with a dog as well. Only good side was that the bathroom was a big size so had that extra space. Good options for both continental and cooked breakfast.

Location is perfect. 5 min walk to Ambleside for shops and restaurants. Minutes away from lots of walks. Breakfast buffet was good. Dog friendly rooms.

We were put in the lodge on the opposite side of the road. We were on the ground floor and unfortunately the people in the room next to us were smoking (heavy) and we would smell it in the corridor and in our room. Also, the floorboards to the room above were very creaky and noisy
