Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe listing on Booking.com was confusing, as was the confirmation email. This ‘ground floor’ room was on the first floor. The washing machine listed was at the coin op laundrette at the adjacent caravan park.
The location a short bus ride from Robin Hoods Bay, with a bus stop outside was ideal. The Saturday evening live entertainment was a good laugh. Food was great.

SpainWe had problems with the shower in room 1. The controls are very loose and a screw came out of the bottom making it very difficult to adjust the water temperature. We did report it and were told it would be looked at while we were out but that didn’t happen.
The Flask Inn was lovely. The view from our room was lovely and we enjoyed the breakfast each morning.

United KingdomI accidentally left my hearing aid battery box in room when we left, they tell us they have found them so hoping they will send them on to me at their earliest convenience as I cannot hear a thing without them, I am willing to reimburse the postage.
Breakfast was excellent, although we don’t tend to eat cooked meals for breakfast, but there was plenty to eat. The evening meals were good but maybe more of a choice would have been better The room was great big bed, plenty of room , plenty of storage

United KingdomThe staff, food and accommodation were all fabulous! From the warm welcome to the check out the staff couldn’t do enough for us. My husband has several dietary requirements and allergies abs the chef even prepared special dishes for him to accommodate us. The room was immaculate and food was delicious and very large portions. The bud stops right outside the hotel and we hopped on and off the bus to Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Scarborough. We brought our dog with us we were able to eat in the bar with her but not the restaurant but that’s fair enough. We will definetly be back.
