The poor lighting when crossing from the Inn to the Lodge.

The owner and his staff were very obliging and nothing was too much trouble. Both I and my guest enjoyed evening dinner and my breakfast the following morning was excellent. The Inn itself closed at 9 p m but my guest and I were able to continue our conversation in my bedroom in the Lodge twenty yards opposite the Inn. My only complaint is that there were a number of steps down to my ground floor room and that the lighting was very poor crossing from the Inn to the Lodge. Fortunately there were hand rails but I could have slipped and been badly injured. Nonetheless I would stay at the Inn and the Lodge if I visited again as both my room and the meals were good value for the money. 9,5 out of 10,

The tv didn't work for many stations, the wifi kept dropping out & so we had limited choice whilst we were getting ready

The room was lovely & clean, the gentleman who saw me coming in, approached me in a friendly manner & was very amenable, I asked about check out & he let me decide a time. The outside was quaint & pretty

I had some noisy neighbours who came in early hours and I, unfortunately, was woken with the noise through the walls. The road noise wasn't a bother.

Great space, very welcoming for dogs. Great location with plenty of forest walks and dog friendly adventures nearby.

our only problem was the Mira shower which gave my husband 2 cold showers. I was luckier and had hot ones so ? temperamental. I mentioned it to the landlady so it will be sorted. only a minor point against though and everything else more than made up for this.

the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. we loved the room. our dog was made very welcome. comfy bed, spacious room with lovely pine furniture. nothing to dislike.

If i have to pick something it would be the poor visibility when taking a right turn out of the car park, but I don't think that moving the hotel is a viable option.

Everything! All the staff were welcoming, friendly but courteous, and very helpful.

These are small niggles! Pillows need replacing. There was nowhere to hang damp towels. The shower was less than powerful. It was quite difficult for me (elderly) to make tea and coffee because of where the items were.

Room was very clean with a comfy bed. We had a good evening meal with excellent service. And, despite the football on TV, it was still a peaceful meal.

Bathroom could be modernised a little, it was abit run down compared to the lovely room, TV didn't work and it would have been better if the WiFi worked as we weren't from the area and wanted to arrange more trips and plan our journey

Good location, close to a tesco, Chepstow and forest of dean. The pub being next door served a lovely breakfast and evening meal, friendly staff to.
