Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It's a mission impossible to get a taxi in the village so if you are going to the cotswolds distillery it's a nightmare.
Brilliant could not believe only 3* better than many 4*/5* iv stayed in.

Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Our room was very large and comfortable with a really nice en-suite bathroom。The extra large bed was really comfortable and everything was very clean. Very good value for money. We had a really nice meal in the restaurant.

Pillows and the bed needed to be slightly firmer as a bit too soft and you sunk down into them. Even though breakfast was lovely, it took quite a long time to come and the help yourself items needed to be topped up so there is choice for whatever time you go down to breakfast and the coffee needs to be much stronger like the coffee machines in the rooms.
Lovely location, excellent large spacious, clean room. Friendly staff, easy to check in and out. Evening food in the dinning area was absolutely delicious and the cocktail / drinks were nice. Liked that we could park our car on site for free.

Being 71, and with some health problems, the shower tray was extremely slippery, with nothing to hold on to. With reference to my age etc, the staff were more than willing to help where ever they could.
Room quite big enough for me, bed comfortable room warm. Tea and coffee readily available if more needed. Good sized ensuite with large shower. evening meal with friends, was a pleasant experience, although beer prices reasonable, I thought a large Shiraz at £10.50, a bit steep!

Liked it all really, small criticism was that in the corridor by our friends room were several fold up beds and ironing boards, not a great look compared to the rest of the hotel.

Room needed a bit more dusting, the bedside lamps were dusty bases and shades. Rest of room very clean. Bedding fresh and room smelt fresh and inviting. Quite a lot of stairs to negotiate and a grab bar would be great at the first steps at the reception desk.
Central for our requirements. Well run, food was good and they had a good breakfast menu. Able to cater for and very aware of any allergies, ensured they knew which person in the party needed that food allergy requirement. Room was large and nice and airy, huge showers, very comfy beds, best sleep in ages.

Only thing would be pigeons, I fully understand this is nature and can't be helped.
Great location. Very welcoming. Clean and tidy. Staff very helpful. Highly recommended. Definitely stay here again.
