Right on the main road so some traffic noise when you have the windows open.

A lovely old 16th centry coach house, which is why it is on the road. A nice courtyard for dinng alfresco. Our room was at the top which was huge, but other rooms were cosy. Food is your typical pub variety. A good place to stay for visiting the local area.

The location is great, I think the owners are trying to upgrade it slowly, the place has a lot of potential, could not understand why we where put in a disabled room.

The breakfast was good, but our evening meal was very mediocre and over priced. I do think they are having staffing problems, that might be the reason.

Room was at front so noise from Main road was bad, but the temperature was so hot we just had to have the window open, so no fault of the Hotel. Thought the staff and owners worked exceptionally hard could probably done with more staff, and not much left on the menu on both nights.

Second visit to the Hotel, convienient for our trip to the Game Fair at Ragley Hall.

The room was dusty, and there were cobwebs on the beams. Glass ring marks on the bed side table. Decoration required flaky paint etc. Bathroom was cleanish but not as I would expect. Breakfast was diabolical - served on cold plates - stone cold baked beans , raw sausages, bacon that had barely touched the pan, grey scrambled eggs. We could not eat it and told the server to take it away and we would just have toast. Very disappointed!

The room was nice but needed maintenance work. The whole place had the potential to be lovely but needed work.

The dogs mess in the courtyard & the food

The food was satisfying BUT everything was smothered with dried mixed herbs which overpowered any other flavour, maybe that is why as my Risotto was very bland. There was one member of staff who’s voice was load & owned a dog which was let out in the courtyard. The courtyard was smelly & full of dogs mess!!

The wifi could be improved especially for business guests. Book a taxi well in advance if needed as they are hard to come by but this isn't a reflection on the hotel by any means. The room key chain is big enough to cold-cock a charging bull elephant which is great until you have to walk any distance with it, suggest a pulley system and several Sherpa's just to get to the car outside. That said we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if the opportunity arises.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. When we arrived the barman went out of his way to try and find taxi numbers for us. Hotel is quirky but in a welcoming way and the building itself is really nice. Got the feeling that they were changing things around and if the decor in the restaurant area is anything to go by it will look amazing. Clean, tidy and good room amenities including a nice breakfast!

the last minute add on cost of £20 per night for the dog which was not mentioned on the web assumed free as the other local hotel stated free. Nothing provided for this charge We take our dog to many places have never been asked for more than £5 per night if there is a change and it normally includes treats. An 18% last minute room surcharge when you are sat in the bar for a 300mm high dog is a little greedy

The distance from the local shops ... however you can't really move a 16th century hotel!

We went on New Years Eve, The landlady was exceptionally Pleasent & easy to talk to! The landlord was a busy man ensuring that all guests were fed with the complimentary finger food buffet & had drinks & the young bar tender baffled us with his magic tricks! :) The room was basic but very pleasant & clean, the building is 16th century so be aware of narrow corridors & low roof space when navigating the hotel. The owners have been in for only 5 weeks and they have had quite some work to do to get it to where it is! So ignore the negative comments you may read (as I read!) this couple are working hard with a venue that was walked out on and by all intense & purpose robbed by the previous owners! Would definitely return

Toast is the nearest you get to a cooked breakfast. No hint of a mobile signal so hope the Wi Fi got fixed! Busy road, not good if you are a light sleeper.

Quirky old building where the low doors weren't square and the floors aren't level. Sitting where the A429 turns off of the Foss Way makes for a good location between the Cotswolds and Coventry.
