Shower was like a dribble and toilet was hit and miss for flushing

In an ideal world there would be parking, but Burford is a small place with limited parking.

Our rooms very extremely clean and very comfy, with all the facilities you'd expect, including a little fridge. The manager was very efficient and friendly. She gave us recommendations about local amenities and parking advice. She made sure we were comfortable in our rooms and had everything we needed. Continental breakfast was included which was ample.

We were put in a different room than what we booked online but it was still nice. There were some stains in the room but expected with an old pub 😊 Also worth noting, the breakfast doesn’t include hot food but available to order for additional cost.

Bathroom was very clean, great location, staff were great! Two thumbs up for the bar tender, very accommodating. They also let us store our bikes in the courtyard.

The room faced the road. They would be well advised to invest in double glazing or some other means of keeping out the noise of the road outside.

The room was great and the staff were very nice. The town itself is lovely and there are great options for food.

Unfortunately, the room was the smallest of our three night staycation in and around the Cotswolds. The bed was a VERY SMALL double. We're not the biggest people, but it was a very uncomfortable night's sleep. The ensuite was tiny. The toilet was right up against the bath with not a lot of leg room or room. 😕 The height of the ceiling above the bath/shower was not great for anyone taller than 6 foot! There was no milk in the room, and we weren't provided any or asked if we'd like some (unlike the previous two nights in different Inns), for tea/coffee. This was the most expensive of the three night staycation, and whilst I always book and pay for "breakfast included" this booking only included a continental breakfast - a cooked breakfast of any sort was extra. (£12 for full english) This was not the case in the other Inns we stayed in.

Burford is a lovely town on the edge (The Gateway to) of the Cotwolds AONB. Good location. The Inn was old, quaint, and very cosy. There was a roaring fire in the bar. The bar was busy with guests and locals on the Saturday night 👍

Our room had a plumbing noise, which was annoying and will be sorted during the refurb.

The hotel is in the center of Burford and is a beautiful ancient building. Poor timing on our part as the restaurant is closed for refurbishment. The menu looked great. We would recommend the hotel, but not the top front attic room.

Whilst my room was comfortable and spacious the ceiling height was restricted in several places so I had to remember to duck and the water pressure was a little low.

The Highway Inn is well located on the High Street in Burford close to all the shops and whilst it does not have its own car park there were plenty of parking bays available outside and opposite. This was free parking overnight, although time limited during the day. All hotel staff were extremely friendly and especially kind to my dog - I felt he was very welcome in both the room and the restaurant area. I had a spacious and comfortable room on the top floor. Food in the restaurant was delicious both for dinner and breakfast.

We was under the impression that full english breakfast was included in the £130.00 price but found out at breakfast that this was extra so an extra £22.00 brought the total stay to £150.00 expensive we found for one night out of season we travel alot and pay around £110-£120 full english breakfast included. Our fault we should of checked we learnt the expensive way.

Lovely hotel in great location. The room was clean and comfortable and everything you needed was there. Massive shout out to Lyndsey at breatfast this morning a credit to the hotel she was very accomadating and made us feel welcome and well looked after a great member of staff that is good at her job keep up the good work !! Please visit the Lamb pub when you visit lovely old traditional pub with log and coal fires.

Didn’t complain but had a dirty towel on the back of the bathroom door when we arrived. Kitchen staff playing loud music below, however, we were in bed early 8-9ish and it stopped around then and they had some good tunes!

Staff were fantastic. Lovely old pub in a beautiful Cotswold town. Staff were fantastic with our one year old daughter (especially the lovely lady at breakfast). Very dog friendly. Food was very impressive.

We brought our little pup for his first holiday in the Cotswolds and he loved it. It was very dog friendly and it felt very relaxed with not too many restrictions. Which is nice when traveling with dog. The dog friendly bedroom was really spacious for the three of us and we loved every minute. We were made to feel at home with a very relaxing feel to the place. The town is amazing and the inn is in the best location and probably the best pub to go along with it. Will definitely be back.
