Poor shower in tiny bathroom with squeaky floor. Very meagre and poor quality shampoo and shower gel. Dirty windows. Difficult access as up two flights of stairs and then limited head room to access room.

Location. Excellent breakfast. Good tea making facilities in the room.

    Nothing!

Very friendly hotel. Excellent location with parking free from 6pm to 9am virtually outside hotel. It’s a very old hotel so don’t expect immaculate paintwork etc but the bedroom was very spacious. Very comfortable bed and pillows and it’s lovely to have the choice of a bath and efficient shower. Everything was immaculately clean and fresh. Enough sockets to charge everything. Incredibly quiet considering you’re in the centre of town and no secondary glazing! Breakfast was very generous and delicious!

Room, staff all good. Very good breakfast. Also, like the fact that there is a reusable stainless steel bottle of water rather than ridiculous plastic water bottles.

Needs a refresh - arm chairs in bedrooms are very worn and shabby but have character. Bathroom lights didn’t work properly - over mirror light didn’t work at all. Need better housekeeping and investment.

Great location and views; very friendly staff

Nothing really-some of the furniture is a little tired but it didn’t affect our stay. Comfort and cleanliness is key and the staff are so helpful. I have stayed here several times and always come back due to its location and value for money.

Great location. Whilst no parking at the property it’s less than a 10 min walk from the big car park that is a fiver for 48hrs! Incredibly comfortable bed and excellent breakfast.

Parking is a bit of a pain (not the hotel's fault) but we received good advice as to where the leave the car (Rope Street car park, £2.50 for 24 hours).

Really lovely hotel, made to feel very welcome by amazing staff. Our room was lovely, and the bed was a great size and comfy. Gorgeous breakfast. Amazing views, and overall we loved it.

Freshly made Coffee, would have been nice, and likewise toast.

The Staff are all delightful, and most helpful. The Room was fine for the money, slightly chilly in the morning, but the weather was really poor. I liked the ambiance, although it is a little dated, and needs refreshing in parts. Breakfast was tasty and ample, but I did not like the Coffee machine or the Toaster idea. However, breakfast is cooked to order which is great.
