The sash windows were broken so we were unable to hand the windows open as it was hot whenever we were there. There was however a fane in the room which helped with the heat . Otherwise an enjoyable stay.

Ideal situation for travelling to the coast to visit relatives.

The room was small, and we struggled around our cases. Less a didn't like and more a tip / feedback. There was no mirror for shaving. The bathroom mirror was on the opposite wall to the sink. Made it a little awkward for my husband. For me, I'm 5 ft. I couldn't see in the mirror at all. There was a full-length one in the bedroom so it wasn't impossible. Just a little awkward doing hair and makeup. A small mirror behind the sink would be great, though the space is limited due to the eaves.

Beautiful location. Lovely building. Friendly staff. Beautiful location! It really is, so I'm putting it twice! If you want a stroll rather than a hike, pop over to Great Ayton and walk along the river. There are so many benches to stop and sit.

I had 3 night stay and first and 3rd night my fellow lodgers up above in room 12 where quiet as church mouse . The 2nd night they were moving up and down like fairy elephant.A Completely different guest .Fingers crossed if you are in room 4.

The King Head is a great position to explore the area. The food was good with the usual pub choice. Lots of walks on your doorstep.

Some of the fitments needed a bit of attention. The mirror in the bathroom was very high - I'm not tall, but I'm not excessively short either.

Didn’t realise it was a small double bed would have preferred two singles. Also on checking in noticed a leaflet saying walking stay 2 nights get free dinner. I asked about this they said it applied to online booking but we didn’t get the offer.

I am not a fan of dogs being fed in the dining area, I felt there should have been a seperate area for those that have to have their dogs with them at mealtime. There is plenty of room for a dog free area.

It was a nice change to stay somewhere that we have passed for many years. To mix a nice stay with family visits and walks was great. The breakfasts were cooked to order and excellent. The room was on the small side, but comfortable and spotless. The evening meal was good honest pub grub well presented and good value.

It was amazing very calm atmosphere Very clean rooms with a TV breakfast was included it was very nice With a car , the location is great only about 10-15 mins from Saltburn beach. They have their own parking free to use with reservation.

Dinner portions were very small and not particularly cheap. Cooked breakfast was excellent but the continental was sparse. Only one croissant left. No glasses for juice. No healthy cereal options (apart from porridge).
