Would have liked a few more towels, had no black bin bags so we had to use carriers, no cleaning products, no washing up liquid.There was dishwasher tablets, but when leaving the odd few mugs were washed by hand so would have been useful

This is a beautiful place to stay, any issues I did have were microscopic in comparison to the positives.

Lovely cottage, generous rooms, comfortable bed, great shower, awesome garden. Kitchen contained everything one could need and there was an abundance of firewood for the lovely log burner. Little touches like gorgeous natural toiletries and luxurious linens really enhanced out stay. Perfect.

Minor took a little while to understand door locking mechanism especially as door stuck a bit so worried we might damage until we understood to tug it

The area was lovely although it would have suited us better if closer to amenities ie the shore in North Berwick but should have done our research a bit better for that definitely recommend for families for a quiet time away, would have liked to have access to see the big house, might be an idea to charge a small fee within the rent to be able to do this which I’m sure everyone would be happy to have this!

Wi-Fi very slow. Very small tv - most channels suffered from pixelation. Dining room chairs were uncomfortable.

Main bedroom was spacious and comfortable. Really liked the bathrooms - the welcome basket was a really nice touch too.

The only thing I can possibly find fault with was that the shower gels and washing up liquid provided were pretty much empty. We bring our own usually so not a huge issue but the one thing I noticed.

The lodge was furnished and styled beautifully, really luxurious but with a country feel. Very cosy and welcoming. Location was good for us; although it feels fairly far out in the countryside the nearest town with shops and cafes is only ten minutes away. There was a large garden, lovely welcome pack of snacks, idyllic scenery all around. Overall a perfect stay for a small group or couples. We would stay here again next time we visit

Great communication from our host. Lovely treats left for us which were very unexpected but welcome after a long journey. The lodge is beautiful, quiet, comfortable and with everything we needed for our stay. Would not hesitate to stay again. Highly recommended.

Kitchen utensils were lacking, only had serrated knife, no scissors, lacking for cooking purposes.

Lovely location very quiet and secluded property was very comfortable and clean. Complimentary food provisions were a nice touch.

For our first night we took ingredients to prepare a meal. Unfortunately there was only a bread knife which wasn't sharp enough to chop tomatoes, onions etc.

Fantastic property. Comfortable and well thought out design of this lodge. Excellent location to explore North Berwick and surrounding areas! Will definitely be retiring to Gilmerton Lodge.

The mattresses were dreadful on all the beds. Especially the singles.This would prevent us staying here again and the poor mattresses do not reflect the cost of the rental which is a shame. A good bed is priority.

Location was quiet yet only 10 mins drive from N Berwick . Kitchen was well equipped. Main bathroom and en suite very nice .

Double beds very uncomfortable. One could feel the springs!! I would expect a higher quality mattress and mattress topper. The single beds had a mattresses topper and better quality bedding. I did contact the provider to ask for additional duvets or mattress topper and no correction was made. Kitchen is shabby as it has been covered by cheap plastic. The units are not solid but cheaply covered and this shows. The sofa and seating is not fit for purpose. It is very uncomfortable and does not accommodate for 6 people. The WiFi signal is poor and intermittent. A newer box is required. No leaving information or details of local walks etc. Just lack of attention from the owners.

The managing agent did not make it clear a form had to be filled out prior to check in and as me and the family arrived with a 3 and 1 year old ready for bed I was told I could not enter until I filed in the form. Finally allowed us entry. Random items missing from kitchen like knifes..
