Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Didn’t realise that The Three Horseshoe’s is part of the Daylesford group which you can tell with the standard of decor/toiletries,the towels are lovely and big plus the option of Bathrobes.Rooms are smallish but we were only staying one night on the way back from Cornwall to Norfolk but the Hotel and village make up for this in spades,we had dinner and breakfast so everything comes from Daylesford Farm right down to the dinnerware, food was absolutely delicious and we have eaten in a lot of London’s higher end restaurants like Scott’s,Quaglino’s and I can say they give them a run for there money.Staff are all young but the place runs seamlessly and are all super friendly, also we had a lovely walk up to The Farmers Dog for a couple of drinks which was well worth the visit as the views are stunning plus the live bands make for a great atmosphere,Burford itself is only about 3 miles up the road and is a typical beautiful Cotswold town,we will definitely be back to stay as we normally stay in Cheltenham but want to explore more of this area and this is the perfect base but if you want something a bit closer to Daylesford Farm they have 3 other hotels that look equally as fabulous but on the larger side.

United KingdomMinor niggle... No light switches at bedside.
Staff amazing/friendly, very smart & clean everywhere. Comfortable bed. Plenty of parking. Ideal location for Clarksons pub, although felt guilty not eating here as it looked better! Breakfast was awesome. Will stay again.

United KingdomGreat location and very good staff
We had 3 rooms for 3 couples. Lovely bedding and very comfy beds. A great location and we strolled the short walk to the Farmers Dog for lunch. In the evening we had drinks and small plates at the Three Horseshoes which was really great. Lovely staff, good food, a fantastic breakfast and what’s not to like !

United KingdomFor the price paid I’d expect a wardrobe and warning that our bedroom backed on to the busy noisy pub garden. It wasn’t horrendous but I would have appreciated warning before spending so much.
The staff were delightful and the location was superb.

United KingdomWhat I didn’t like …. Is that I don’t live near it for it to be my local.
The pub is stunning. The food is fantastic. Loved all the inside/outside areas that were so stylish. Beautiful quiet location with a short walk to Clarksons pub and within easy distance to any Cotswolds town/village. Would 100% stay here again.

United StatesThe only drawback was our room was right at the front of the inn, so with the heat we had to keep the window open for air and the early morning truck deliveries woke us up very early. Other than that, we loved the room and our stay.
A beautiful inn in an idyllic location. We appreciated all of the little details that were considered in the room. The beds were so comfortable. We loved having dessert and drinks out on the back patio as the sun went down after a long day of travel. The hotel made sure there was a lovely breakfast spread the next morning, as unfortunately the power at the inn had to be out for the day. We only wish we were here longer.

United KingdomI saw a wasp 😂😂… so nothing really..
A wonderful period property, the set up inside and out gives many options for socialising or seclusion. The staff were so welcoming, always stopping to check you have all you need. The outside space is a real gem, we were lucky enough to stay on a Tuesday night, the guys showcase local musicians ( pleasant relaxing vibe, no heavy load music just a wonderful atmosphere). The menu is very well put together and breakfast was simply unbeatable. We wondered the lanes outside the property in the evening, the abbey to the right and a footpath along the river to the left.. straight on and you can walk to the Farmers Dog… however with cold beer, wonderful surroundings and amazing staff… why would you. We stayed in lovely room, with a very large comfortable bed. The room had a spacious bathroom with a dual shower that delivered both pressure and heat. The age of the property does limit the size of the rooms somewhat, I for one can happily manage that as a compromise when all is weighed up. The internet was very good, and needed as 3,4 and 5g coverage is a bit patchy in the area in general.

United KingdomWe had a 3 night stay & not once was our bathroom bin emptied. I even left a sealed sanitary bag on top of the bin on the second day to indicate the bin was full. No decaffeinated tea bags were left in our room when I asked I was told they did t have any, so ended up going to a supermarket to buy my own. We also didn’t have any milk left in our room.
Rooms were spacious & clean on arrival & modern decor. Bed was extremely comfortable. Loved the addition of a Dyson Fan in the room which was very welcome in 30 degree heat.

United KingdomWe had a delightful couple of days at The Three Horseshoes. Lovely setting and super garden just right for relaxation. The staff were all charming, helpful and Anni (the Manager) was great. The room was comfy, the bed was a tad small but nonetheless we slept well. We had dinner there both nights and each night was very good, although I do think the Chef is trying too hard with some dishes. Breakfast was fine but my fried eggs of both mornings were overcooked and dry. The coffee, far too bitter. These are just niggles but overall we enjoyed our stay.
