Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing to dislike.
The property is in a quiet location. The house was perfect and very clean. The garden, natural pool and patio area was a great space to relax.

United KingdomAs a number of the rooms were empty during my stay parking wasn't a problem but can imagine if all the rooms were full it would be tight although perhaps there is alternative parking somewhere?
Piers left home baked bread and home made preserves out for breakfast - especially early as he knew I was checking out very early. Location convenient for RAF Lakenheath photo shoot. Communal/seating kitchen area nicely laid out and good recycling facilities. I was only there one night so didn't use the garden area but think this would be very nice to sit out in if staying longer.

NorwayThe location is quite far from any transport and the telephone reception was poor. I struggled to get taxis so I would say it's essential you are prepared to get around by car.
The property is beautiful and in tranquil surroundings. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and practical. The host was welcoming and gave a lot of good advice for the stay. The breakfast self service was ok and I appreciated access to fresh fruit all day. Everything in place for a good night's sleep.

United KingdomThere is nothing to dislike about the Mill.
The Mill is a beautiful property in a secluded spot set amidst countryside and wildlife. Piers is a superb host who is very talented at bread making! There are no time constraints at the Mill and the whole set up is conducive to a thoroughly relaxing experience.

United KingdomBeautiful property in a very peaceful and tranquil setting a perfect place to relax and recharge away from the everyday stresses of life, very beautifully and stylishly decorated by Piers and his wife , with every room being themed around family and friends and each one telling its own fantastic history and stories, with beautiful and spacious gardens to relax in and wile away the hours with friends, family or fellow guests. As for the hosts well what can we say ... Piers greeted us soon as we arrived and immediately made us feel welcome and at home, an incredibly interesting host who will keep you entertained and enthralled with so many wonderful stories of what seems to have been a life full of extraordinary events and adventures, add to this his being multi- talented from the home made bread and marmalade , all the property maintenence .. and he still some how manages to find time to work on his vintage cars !! Some people are born to run a B&B and Piers and his wife are 2 of the best, very highly recommended getaway stay for anyone , thank you for a wonderful stay.

United KingdomLiterally couldn't fault anything.
Everything about our stay at New Zealand Cottages was just about spot on. Our host was very welcoming and it is obvious how much pride he has in his gorgeous property. The Mll and the gardens were exceptional, the bed super comfortable and the daily home made bread was just perfect. We had great weather and managed a swim in the natural pool. We didn't leave for over 24 hours - it was such a lovely garden space to chill in.

Everything. So much thought and attention to detail. Spotless bathroom. Lots of hot water. Fab towels. Everything you could possibly need in the shared kitchen. Fresh bread for breakfast, homemade marmalade, cereals, yoghurt. Beautiful garden and stunning remote location right on The Angles Way. Piers was a wonderful pleasant host who was pro-active and arranged some groceries for us as we were on foot. Cannot fault this place. Would love to visit again 😊😊

United KingdomNot a thing.
Outstanding location which appeals very much to us as a dog owner. The property itself was luxurious in style, the owners had thought of every little detail to ensure the stay was tip top, the little extras they give are exceptional to the rule, home made bread, wonderful fresh double yolker eggs, fresh fruit, luxury yoghurt, homemade jams and cereals, milk and even a luxury wine chiller to boot!!! I cannot think of one thing that they did not think of with regard to providing the most excellent of stays. Wonderful, will definitely come back and recommend to others.

United KingdomThe coffee machine was mentioned in the advertised description, however only a cafetiere was available. It would complement the accommodation to have a coffee machine for example a Tassimo, whereby guests bring or purchase their own pods. Just a note that this is a shared property. The only private space is your own room.. The breakfast is not cooked for you. It is self service, however it is very varied with a fully equip kitchen for example eggs are provided and you have everything you need should you wish to make eggs on toast.
The accommodation was very homely and exceptionally clean. The host was knowledgeable of the area, approachable and friendly. His home cooked bread was delicious. As were the homemade jams and honey. The location was quiet, picturesque and teaming with wildlife, great for walks. We saw barn owls, loads of deer, rabbits, pheasants and voles. The outside area of the property with the natural pool looks lovely and well kept. I am sure in the warmer months it is an added bonus to be able to use the outside facilities. Lovely quaint villages within short drives, with great walks, tea shops and places to eat for dinner as well as towns with lots of shopping. Norwich is well worth a drive if you love a few hours of retail therapy, and also has a market. Centre parks is not far and you can book the spa for the day, we did this and had a lovely day.

United KingdomThere was nothing we did not like.
The accommodation was fabulous, we were so pleased. Everything was more than perfect, and the bed was very comfortable. It's a gem of a place, so many nice features. Also, nice grounds to walk around. We had a very warm welcome from Nikki and were made to feel at home. There were eggs, bread, and cereals for breakfast. Tea, coffee, and milk. We had a great time here. It was away from other people tucked into the countryside and within easy access to roads and 3 miles from centre parks. We loved it here and would come again and have recommended it to family and friends, should they be looking for accommodation in this area. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

United KingdomThe dirt road leading up to the property. You have to drive really slowly.
We stayed here as a group of friends, and we enjoyed every minute of being here. The property has everything you need, and the gardens and pond area are stunning. We really appreciated the late checkout since they didn't have anyone else checking in that day. I would recommend this place for any groups looking for a relaxing and tranquil stay.

United KingdomThe swimming pond in the garden was rather too shallow for swimming, access was difficult and the bottom was slimy. Be warned! It would be rather isolated for some people.
Beautifully furnished and decorated, and well equipped. Very peaceful. Breakfast was help yourself in the large shared well-equipped open-plan kitchen, dining room and lounge. It was good to get to know other guests and share information about the area. The garden was a great place to hang out, share a glass or two and have a BBQ.
