We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomI was disappointed that there was no food options , would have been more helpful if this info was readily available on booking.com and not once you've paid. The place is cold , the small electric radiators aren't up to much and it would have been better if blankets were put in the wardrobe as Quilts weren't that warm
This will be a nice place to stay when everything is back open . Room was very spacious I liked the addition of the chairs and table as many places don't give this . Location is good however not close to anything . Bed was very comfortable and the lady on reception couldn't do enough for you so great service

FranceWe were not informed ( I believe I am right in saying this ) until after I had booked and paid for the reservation that the bar and restaurant were not open . Do we arrived looking forward to a drink in the bar , a nice meal , then maybe another drink in the bar before retiring. As it was one of us had to drive to eat so no drinking. In the morning we thought at least we can have a coffee before we leave. The kettle did not function and with no one around no way of getting a replacement kettle. A little niggle, why cover the plug point near the only mirror with a heavy set of drawers ?

United KingdomWhilst the people on duty all worked very hard the hotel did seem short staffed, sometimes causing delays in the restaurant at dinner. I disliked the fact that Booking.com did not make it clear that all their prices did not include VAT, so cost 20% more overall, and breakfast advertised as £10 was in fact £12.This is not a criticism of the hotel , but of lack of clarity in the booking
The beds were comfortable and the full English breakfast very good. The food at dinner was well cooked and portions generous. The location was quiet and peaceful. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

United KingdomBathroom, bath in particular, needs upgrading. Shower curtain didn't stop the water from leaking onto the floor when showering. Bath was very tatty (Room 218) and had been shoddily repaired and silicone-sealed. Quite scruffy and slightly off-putting, TBH. Also, wi-fi does not work in the rooms, so I had to tether my phone to my iPad to have internet
Quiet. Decent food. Good-sized room. Comfortable. Polite staff, but not too stuffy and formal. Good rates. Only tried evening meal (not breakfast), but it was fine, and the service was good.

United KingdomUnderstaffing was very apparent and indeed the restaurant staff also conducted checkout in the morning but were unable to access or operate the tills to provide my vat receipt - this was subsequently sent. The coffee drink options at breakfast wee limited to “Coffee” - no latte or other options available.
Have stayed here a number of times over ten years and it’s a very comfortable hotel. The car park is close proximity to the hotel entrance so not far to transfer your luggage to the rooms. All the rooms I’ve stayed in are spacious and well furnished. The staff on duty this visit wee very helpful, welcoming & friendly. My evening meal was good quality fish & chips and breakfast was also good. This venue will remain a regular stopover location for me and I can recommend
