The restaurant was a bit draughty

Comfortable. Very friendly and helpful receptionist, who instantly sorted a problem with a heated water failure to the shower, affecting our room and others. It was repaired instantly even though it was early evening.This temporary inconvenience was compensated by a complimentary drink with our meal. Gestures like this are important and appreciated. All staff very friendly, including in restaurant and bar. Well motivated staff who clearly enjoyed their work. Lovely place to stay and relax in the evening. I emailed the hotel to know more about their spa facilities but no one ever got back to me. Only reason I am not giving it 5 stars.

This Victorian hotel has been beautifully renovated. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, and the sea view was spectacular. Breakfast in the hotel bistro was also excellent.

Please remove first course plates at breakfast before you bring cooked breakfast. This is a small observation 😄Would be great to have a jacuzzi in the spa.

Breakfast wasn't great. We went down at 0930 and the poached eggs were well over for both of us and the food looked and tasted like it had been under the lights for some time.

Perfect location 100 metres from the train/bus/ferry and right in the middle of town. Recently refurbished to a very high standard with lovely communal areas. Receptionist was extremely professional and helpful with all of our enquiries. Really made our stay.

The sole purpose of booking this hotel was for their spa and massage but they did not have a masseur available so all massage treatments were off. Only learned about this after booking and when we phoned to enquire about the services. I did wonder why there were no photos of the spa area - it was definitely just a thermal area without the massage treatments- good size sauna, steam, and foot bath machine.

The hotel is on a super location at the pier in the centre of town. We did not pay extra for the view but their standard room is of good size and comfortable. It had the usual items- tv, coffee machine etc. As it was winter time, their dinner service was not available but their afternoon tea was. We had a drink at their bar/cafe and the whole place is nicely decorated. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was located in the corner side of the hotel so it was a bit dark and a bit noisy with traffic although it was okay as we were not light sleepers and the hotel was located in the centre.

Breakfast is a bit pricey and not included in the room price. Only worth it, if one needs a big full breakfast before a long day hiking. Spa is nice but not very big. Fine for us as we pre-booked. First 15min we were alone, and then there were only 4 people using it however this is almost filling the sauna to max capacity.

The (cocktail) bar is nice for a last drink before bed. Also in February there not so much happening in Oban so it is nice to have a good and friendly place to go to after dinner.

Nothing at all it was a great get away

I would definitely mark it higher if I could the room was beautiful and so was the view . I didn't get the opportunity to eat in the hotel but will definitely next time

Room upstairs decided to have a party at 3am! Hotel staff acted quickly when we phoned reception to complain. Great service from them. Room we had was a tad small not worth what we paid for it.
