Accessibility to the room was a bit difficult, but that is typical from an historical building. Mirror in bath room not above the fountain.

Only thing id say is there was no wardrobe, but for a 2 night stay it wasn't a problem.

What lovely place. We arrived late, got there just before 9pm and cooked food for us , the food was excellent, i had scampi and chips and my husband had fish and chips, it was definitely not a frozen fish portion! (Kitchen closed at 9.) The staff couldn't do enough for us, very welcoming, humble and like we'd known them for years. The room was very spacious, quite a lot of steps but was worth it, the old features with the beams in the attic and sash windows. The bed was comfortable, with a nice clean en-suite. Would definitely return if we was across that way. Ideal if your going to a wedding at Hockwold Hall.

I was on a high floor, decor could be better the spiders thought it was nice.

Lots of car park away from the pub across road don’t know if there are rooms in the pub. This was better. Food and drink good across road.

The staff were very helpful and friendly at check-in. The room was spacious and the bathroom brand new and both were spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable, and we had 2 nights of excellent sleep. The building is obviously under a comprehensive restoration a and upgrade, we look forward to seeing it on completion. The parking was also very easy. We would have no hesitation in staying again.

Left a piece of jewellery in the bedroom. I contacted the hotel the day after we left. They said it had been found and they would send it to me. It's been two weeks now and still not recieved my brooch!

Wasn’t sure what to expect as we were put over the road in a big house that is obviously an ongoing project but I can say our room was lovely and very comfortable ,, have booked breakfast next door and going in a minute 😂

Don't judge a book by it's cover. The outside appearance is awful but seems a work in progress which is a mammoth task. 1 hand and bath towel between 2. 1 wire coat hanger. No hairdryer. A window cleaner and clearing the carpark would make so much difference to appearance. It is a shame to moan as the room and staff were lovely..

The staff were lovely and friendly. The room was newly fitted to a high standard. Would like to come back and see it when it is finished.

Lovely little pub, friendly staff….we didn’t eat here but the menu looked good, our room was located across the road in Brandon House, from the outside it looked a little run down, but our bedroom and bathroom was lovely and clean, both rooms a very good size, tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was really comfortable and we had a great night sleep

Shower attachment broken, sink dirty. Sadly lack of maintenance meant really scruffy facade in arrival wish detracted from warm welcome inside. I felt this place really trues hard but lacks resources to keep it well maintained.

Location near Thetford Forest, very friendly helpful host. Good bar restaurant with excellent fish and chips

The pub did excellent food and drinks selection was good. The bar staff were lovely and helpful.Also the locals were friendly and welcoming. we had a great evening. The rooms were clean and modern with a comfortable bed and very good bathroom.

The room (7) was fine apart from one thing. There was nowhere to hang clothes. Not a problem for me as I was only staying for one night and living out of a suitcase

They provided us with a room with four beds at the Brandon House, located across the street. It’s an old listed hotel currently undergoing refurbishment, but it has very good rooms.
