Bedroom very small. It was a battle getting our suitcases up the steep and narrow stairs but that is to be expected in such an old character building. Expensive considering the small room and lack of extras.

Staff were helpful and friendly.Hotel has a great deal of character. Beds comfortable. Restaurant food very good as was the included breakfast

Breakfast was excellent. Location was easy to find and it was in beautiful countryside. The staff were friendly and very helpful and also very informative. We also had two evening meals whilst staying and I would rate the food as five star.

Beautiful room with lovely touches - home made biscuits, large tea selection, cafetière and teapot, comfortable bed.Sarah and Lisa and the whole team were amazing and made us feel so welcome. The dog loved it! 😊

Red Lion Inn really made an impression on me. It was so incredibly cozy--my room was a tiny attic room, and yet I had everything I needed, and enjoyed snuggling up there. I enjoyed the delicious breakfast and dinners even more, the latter when it got nice and lively at night by the fire. This place is everything you want an English countryside inn to be.

Lovely pub with a real atmosphere in a traditional village location. The room was immaculate and so comfortable. Full of the little touches with make the Red Lion really stand out. The quality of the food was brilliant, both for the evening meal and the breakfast. A 5 star stay. The staff were helpful and friendly and really are the icing on the cake.

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like.

This was easily the best stay I have ever had. The rooms, service, food, ambiance, and the overall experience was second to none. I loved the multi-course breakfast every morning, with a cozy fire always within view. The staff helped me find my way around town and were always checking to see if I needed anything. Traveling alone in a foreign country, I was made to feel at home.

exceptional in every way, beautiful room, comfy bed, and lovely considerate helpful staff. I needed an early breakfast which was kindly offered and delivered to my room. I travelled alone and had a single room which was perfect in every way, the shower room was stylish (as was everything at The Red Lion) and shower powerful with loads of hot water.

Exceptional service at the Red Lion Inn. Food amazing, room comfortable and service friendly. We had everything we needed and more for a relaxing couple of days in the Cotswolds. The best part was being able to take our dog with us wherever we went. He absolutely loved the attention and treats! We were made to feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble.

Nothing couldn't fault it one bit

From start to finish we felt very welcome, we had good that night which they very kindly got us a table even though they were fully booked, we can see why the food and service was amazing!! Room was clean and spacious, had breakfast in the morning which was so much choice! If you've got dogs we would recommend here as they are big dog lovers, we will 100% stay here again!! ( oh also amazing garden) only saw in the morning but out daughter loved playing in the playarea

Very low light fittings for anyone over 5'10 ....!!

Excellent friendly staff, great food and an excellent selection of beer and wine. I'd only booked 2 hours before I arrived and yet I was welcomed like a regular customer. I was so relaxed I stayed most of the morning after checking out just reading in front of the fire.

I could not find fault.

On arriving at the Red Lion, the premises looked beautiful from the outside, and we were not disappointed on entering the bar. We were greeted by a burning fire and very warm welcome from the staff. We were upgraded to another room on arrival and it was truly beyond expectations in all ways. The room was exceptionally clean, the bathroom amenities were excellent. We had dinner in the restaurant and again, it exceeded expectations for both myself and my partner. The staff were extremely friendly and full of advice. We went for a 2 hour walk the following morning and the countryside was stunning. The choice of options for dinner and again breakfast were excellent and I considered it very good value for money.
