I am usually very frank but on this occasion I cannot actually think of anything negative.

The location was walking distance to both Shanklin and Sandown. Particularly enjoyed going to the beach and the fish and chips at Bayside in Shanklin. The guesthouse is located on a very quite and peaceful street with good views of the sea from our room. The breakfast was enjoyable with generous portions and very exact as per request. The kids loved the games room. I do feel that the host made a good effort to make us feel welcome. All the other sites that we visited were 15 to 20 minutes by car, so as some-one travelling from London city where every journey takes ages, that was so convenient and relaxing for us. There was always parking available. Thoroughly enjoyed the break ! Would definitely visit the Isle of Wight again.

Room was smaller than expected and very hot in the evening due to west facing sun but at least there was a fan provided.

Location was good though we dint get to see much of Shanklin beach. Morning breakfast was good and filling. A lot of convenient beach things were provided for use.

Stayed here for two nights, last week. Beautiful guest house in a very quiet location, but near the beach and restaurants etc.Hosts were very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. The room was lovely. Had everything you needed, including an small ironing board and iron. The property was very clean. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Would certainly stay here again and would recommend to friends and family.

The shower could have been better as it was difficult to get the temperature right when others were using water. The room was a little on the warm side but not much can be done about that. The location meant most evenings we had to drive or have a long walk to find an evening meal although the guest house did allow takeaway deliveries etc.

The proprietors were very friendly and helpful with nothing too much trouble and the breakfasts were great. The bathroom was a good size and very clean. The bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep with very little to disturb us. The wifi worked very well.

The only gripe I had was in the mornings I was woken up to noise coming from the kitchen (music & talking) Other than that - Excellent!!

Hosts were friendly & very helpful Food was lovely! Well catered for with a games room & complicated hot chocolates & biscuits in the room :)

We found the room was on the small side and bed was hard for us, the location was situated 20 mins down hill walk to the promenade/restaurants a bit longer coming back.

Spotlessly clean, very friendly, Nigel & Sharon were perfect hosts really, lots of little extras for family's, beach items, toys, games room, snooker table list goes on. parking for cars good, breakfast very nice lots of choice, lots of extras in the room, all in all a very pleasant stay.

    Nothing!

Lovely room, comfy bed, lots of little extras to make your stay enjoyable. Good breakfast choices & most of all great hosts. We were travelling on a motorbike so off road parking & location in a residential cul-de-sac gave peace of mind with added benefit of cctv.

    Nothing really

We enjoyed our stay very much at Royson. The location was fabulous, quiet but close to the beach and cliff walk. Well connected with transportation. The breakfast was wonderful and facilities in the room were great as well. Checking in and out were both very smooth and Nigel was a friendly host. We'd be happy to stay here again when we next come for a visit to IOW!

    Nothing.

Nigel and Sharon were great hosts - friendly and very thorough with everything at the facility. Breakfast was fresh and made to order. Free parking on the premises which was a big bonus. They have high chairs for babies which was so helpful and also a kids play section adjacent to the dining area which keeps little ones busy while we ate.

The Royson is a really nice b&b situated off the main road (quiet and peaceful), well maintained and full of amenities. Nigel and Sharon were such angels, they took care of us throughout our stay. Free breakfast was such a major plus. Will definitely return in the future!
