The Shed, is set in such a beautiful place with views of the black mountains surrounded by farmland. Lyny gave us the warmest welcome and even took our children out to meet the animals on her farm. They loved feeding her Pony and Sheep, and of course making friends with her happy little Jack Russell. The Shed is the perfect place to explore The Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons and wander the streets of Hay-on-wye and Abergavenny. There was absolutely everything we needed at the Shed and was a cosy place to come back to at the end of day exploring.

Very quiet location, though it was a little tricky to find especially as we don`t know the area. Lovely to have private outside space too, and easy parking.

Location is VERY rural and accessible only by single track roads. But very lovely and would still very much recommend!

Lovely cottage in a beautiful rural location. The space was very clean, comfortable and well kept, and decor was very nice. Our host was lovely and Pablo the cat was very friendly and welcoming! We were looking for a base to visit Hay on Wye and this was perfect, just about 25-30 minutes drive from the town.

Walls are very thin, so if anyone in the group tends to be up earlier, may be worth asking them to reduce noise to a minimum.

Bathroom quite small for 4 of us to share.

Beautifully kept cottage, lovely cosy front room and sunny patio area for breakfast. Fire pit area a lovely touch although we didn’t get a chance to use it. Even comes with friendly resident cat who, whilst not allowed in the cottage, would wait in the patio area for some fuss and attention. Fabulous location to escape from it all . We were attending a wedding at nearby ‘The Haybarn’ and it was just a 12 minute drive to get there. Nice touch by Lynys to put some bottled water in the fridge as we were staying on one of the hottest weekends in the year !

Wonderful location. Peaceful quiet close to footpaths. Spacious, light and clean inside. Swallows swooping about. Lovely hammock in the garden. Good parking next to the property. Lovely views. Excellent helpful host.

The property is in such a beautiful location and having a big private garden was amazing! Lyny was such an incredible host, making sure we had everything we needed and going above and beyond to help us find local attractions and things to do. She even brought out extra garden toys for our little one which he loved! The space was extremely clean when we arrived and had everything we needed for a longer stay. It felt very cozy and was very quiet the whole time we were there. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the space for a long weekend or week away in the beautiful Black Mountains.

Very clean, spacious and modern with a homely comfortable feel. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would happily stay again. We manage holiday lets.

The shower didn’t keep to temperature and I’d either burn or freeze.

Everything had leaflets on how to use and it made mine and my partners stay. It was so quiet and we had a lovely time together just a break in the peace and quiet from our busy lives.

Property was well equipped, clean, spacious and comfortable. It was just like being at home. The outdoor space was vast, well maintained, relaxing and peaceful. It was lovely to see and hear the sheep in the fields.

We had a fantastic stay at the shed... The location was perfect, facilities were great and Lyny was awesome, the perfect host! We got to feed their sheep which our son loved and she recommended some great places to visit (Llanthony Priory was beautiful). Thank you for a wonderful stay...

I have absolutely no complaints and no room for improvement. It was perfection.

Absolutely everything. The hosts had thought of every tiny detail and it was just perfect. I always worry with airbnbs that they won’t look anything like the pictures advertised but that absolutely does not apply here. The property was stunning. There is really no other way to describe it. We arrived with a welcome hamper on the dining room table and a binder full of information on using the facilities which was SO helpful. The property felt so safe and comfortable and was like a home away from home. We really cannot wait to come back.

Too many rules stuck in every room made us a little uncomfortable about relaxing. I appreciate it is a working farm and children should be watched, but felt children not really welcome.
