The only thing was I miss not having a chair in the room.

The pub was welcoming and comfortable. The room was what advertised with en-site.

Nothing to complain about; it would just be nitpicking.

Well run inn and exceptional value. Everything you'd expect. Friendly staff, good bar.

Really very little to dislike at the price I paid. Irritating noisy neighbour but not really the property's fault. The trams make a bit of noise but I was soon asleep.

Another great value for money accommodation in an excellent location. The room was billed as a double and just about matched the billing. Bed was comfortable, tea and coffee facilities. Shower, towels and toiletries all very good. Staff are really nice and very helpful. Bonus ball is the bar is a real ale orientated operation though sadly I could not indulge on this occasion. Location is superb for for busses trams and Beeston train station mainline direct to London and Derby. All in all this an excellent stay for the single or budget traveller.

The only let down for us was there was no hot food on when we stayed but there are plenty of places close by so not to bad.

The room was clean and tidy with tea making facilities and TV. The ajoining bathroom had a very good shower with a wash basin and WC. Both rooms had a radiator so the room was nice and warm. The staff at The Star Inn are friendly and helpful. It was a short walk from The Star inn to the town center and very close to the tram stop that will take you to Nottinham. All in all my wife and I enjoyed our stay and we would stay there again if in the area.

No Biggie, the mattress in the room I stayed in could do with turning - beginning to have a slope on one side.

Good location and value, friendly staff even when the pub is very busy. Note if you prefer a quiet stay this isn't the place for you - full on Ceilidh happening one of the nights, awesome music!

Hard to say, for a tiny room like that, it is very hard to add more stuff there. I believe the hotel management is trying hard to keep it in a good shape.

We stayed here for one night. Overall experience is good. The hotel is pretty old but the room is clean and tiny. It is right above a busy pub but we did not hear too much noise. 5 minutes' walk from Beeston train station and the Tesco is nearby. The wall is paper thin as I could hear the talking from the room next to us in the morning. For one night stay, it is ok.

The exit to the accommodation could have been a bit more secure. I feel as though a determined thief could have got in.

Great location, a good price, clean and comfortable. What else do you need?

Perfect location, met up with friends, took the tram into Nottingham. Beds were nice and soft. We arrived before check in time, and were able to access the room earlier. Would definitely book again when in Nottingham

Room was pretty small, shower was blocked/slow to drain.

Clean, comfortable, quieter than expected, safe, central location in Beeston, friendly & efficient staff, entrance/exit separate from pub.

The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, lovely selection of beers and whiskeys and a pool table in the pub, reasonably priced and close to all tram lines and shops in Beeston. All the staff were really friendly and helpful.

The parking is a little limited - fine if you arrive early, but can be full by the evening. There is some street parking a few streets away, so you can move your car in during quieter times if necessary. As an FYI, would not be a suitable hotel for those with mobility issues - stairs to access and narrow corridors.

A very nice stay at The Star. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped, and it was very easy to check in and out, as long as you can arrive within the pub's opening hours. Well located for Beeston, the university, and central Nottingham via the tram stop just outside, and near to lots of useful amenities and a good local running/walking route down by the river to the Attenborough nature reserve. Considering there's a pub downstairs, noise is fairly minimal, though the walls are thin so you do sometimes hear other guests coming in and out. All in all, an excellent value stay in a city which can be quite expensive for hotels.

Didn't realise location was on very main road. Noisy trams but good double glazing. Thin walls so woken up by someone on an endless and loud phone call, bed was squeeky, but none of these things were deal-breakers. Would have been good to have an extra blanket as the duvet was thin.

Friendly arrival, clean room, clear key instructions and easy access without having to navigate large pub. Perfectly fine for a one night stop-over. Good transport links to town. Bed was comfortable.
