Room seemed a little on the basic side, especially in comparison to the style of the lounge area but never-the-less it was exactly what we needed. Lift wasn’t working however we got a complimentary breakfast.

Good location, quite street, staff were brilliant; very friendly and approachable. Breakfast options were great.

Trying to operate the high tech kettle in room. Needed instructions for the fancy kettle.

Staff member Ali was very welcoming when I arrived. I had a great check-in service and Ali was available for all my questions. The lift was out of service, and staff kindly delivered my takeaway to my room, which was appreciated cause my room was on 3rd Floor.

It was my second staying at the sumner, this time the elevator did not work and we stayed at the 3rd floor. Not so fun. I dont know if the water running through pipes or the heating were making quite a background noise but it at least it was constant and you could use it as a white noise, so it wasnt very bad, just something to be aware of.

The location is awesome, right in the city center, close to oxford street, but also close to local shops, coffee shops, very nice area. There are only 2 rooms per floor, so you have less chances of being distrubed by the neighboors.

Lift was out of order. Room decor is dated although clean and in fairly good repair.

Very well presented, smiling staff, comfortable clean room and good breakfast. Clearly family run which is a big plus.

The bed and pillows weren't so comfortable. The lift wasn't working but it did not bother us as our room was at ground level. The room was not energy efficient as it was too warm that we had to switch on the ac on cooling. However, if you had to look at what the hotel could offer I would definitely recommend the hotel.

The room was big and nicely decorated. I loved the shower room. The hotel is situated few minutes walk from Marble arch. We didn't have breakfast but there are many shops closeby. The room was always clean and so was the bathroom. The lounge area was small yet amazing. The hotel has certain touches you do not find in other hotels. It feels homey. The price is not cheap, but yet again cheap and London never go together.

Well presented. Nice characterful London building with period features (fireplace, high ceilings) but with good modern and clean decor. Rooms large, big comfortable bed, perfectly adequate bathroom facilities. Close to Marble Arch tube and coffee shops etc for breakfast. Quiet residential street made for a good nights rest.

The lift isn't working, the room was rather outdated and not that clean. Breakfasts were very basic and overpriced. Balconies in rooms are declared as a facility on Booking description but they cannot be open and used by guests.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, early check in. Moody place to stay in for a London city break.

We was in room 100 which was downstairs next to the breakfast room. This appears to be under the main front door. Which slammed, buzzed and had squeaky floorboards all night keeping us awake. Also the room was very warm with no way of opening the window. The bathroom could do with a new gloss paint as chipped making it look tatty.

The hotel was easy to find and only a couple of minutes walk from the Marble Arch tube station. The reception was a bit hidden, but the staff friendly and allowed us to drop our bags off early.
