Our room this time was facing the high street so was very noisy. I also asked for a room with walk in shower as I've had knee surgery but I had to climb into a bath which was not ideal for me. The shower had NO power so you didn't feel clean after it. The rooms need power showers as the water pressure is so bad. We also decided to try breakfast this time well we was expecting 1 a menu 2 a choice of some continental bits eg cereals pastries chopped fruit yoghurt etc but you was only a fried option which neither of us really enjoy eating these days and for £13 a head we felt expensive for what you got. I asked for some marmalade for my toast and was given apricot jam !! Just not the same. I'm vegi so do find fried breakfast boring. Hubby said his was OK but not very hot. We asked for coffee which came in a small teapot for 2 people think you need to invest in some coffee pots. Having said all this we will still stay with you again but definately wont have breakfast. The bedside lights also need to be made a bit brighter as we couldn't read by them.

We stay here because it's next door to my brother so handy for us. We had another nice room but preferred the room we had on first stay here (read below for why). The place has been refurbed so the room are nice.

My friend’s room was at the front overlooking the main street and was noisy. The entrance thru the pub downstairs would benefit from some investment. The back of the hotel and car park had stuff dumped and could have been more welcoming without hardly any expense.

The Manager, the location, the bed, the linen and towels. My bedroom was at the back but quiet.

As mentioned in several reviews before, as the Swan is also a pub, it might be quite noisy.

Nice location in the centre of Hythe. Car park spaces in the back - and a very nice restaurant next by. Free toiletries and buiskits/tea provided. Good value for money.

There were floodlights outside our bedroom window which were left on all night so our room was flooded with light making it difficult to sleep. It was also noisy till midnight. Breakfast was £12 each for me and my 12 year old and we got a glass of juice , a cup of tea and a cooked breakfast which was a bit greasy and not very tasty. We decided not to have breakfast the second day despite them already charging us Not enough staff around to speak to about issues.

It was in a good location and had private parking

The bar area was not as pleasant for a family to stay in for a drink or a meal - therefore we went elsewhere which was a shame

The hotel facilities were very good and the rooms were of a good size and clean with everything you need.

The steps from the car park and the size of the car park, thankfully didn't need to move my car since I parked it as it was blocked in by other guests. Shower power was very poor and the water wasn't very hot in the morning. (Hot tap on full, cold was off!) We had two rooms, one of them had an awful stench, like boiled Brussel sprouts or stagnant water.

The location was excellent, beds were comfy.

Ideal for what we wanted. A comfortable, quiet stay before an early start on the Channel Tunnel.

The wait on arrival, while customers at the bar were given priority. To be fair we didn’t have to wait very long, but it was long enough with two tired little boys.

It was very convenient for the Channel Tunnel terminal. The room absolutely as expected. All good.

Stairs outside to get to carpark are dangerous expecially when wet. Not very family friendly as there were tiled steps going into the bathroom and the code lock wasn't very convenient.

It was lovely and warm and good size for room.

A reasonably priced hotel in the centre of Hythe.

The layout of the room and en-suite bathroom is not helpful, and perhaps not particularly safe. There are two steps up into the bathroom, and in the night it would be easy to slip when needing the toilet. There is some noise from the bars and outside, but it stopped around 10.30pm. The heating in the room is not easy to operate, and get the temperature you might desire. On departure (10am) there was nobody around to assist you with your luggage etc. I had a wait on arrival when checking in, which I guess was just unfortunate. It is a small hotel with may be 10 rooms, and several guests arrived at the same time to check in. Average value. If the car park was full, Hythe is not an easy place to park.

I have stayed at this hotel before, and is reasonably satisfactory, and better priced than many other establishments in Hythe. The staff are helpful and friendly, but not the easiest to understand. I stayed on a room only basis, as I did not require food. The room was comfortable, reasonably lit, and most things worked OK (but not the shaving light over the bathroom mirror). The room was clean and the en-suite had a bathtub and shower over (my preference). There is free parking available if there is room in the car park.

The entrance and exit to the car park is dangerous. There are steps to the door to exit the pub, and after dark you could be attacked, or slip, as the steps are steep and slippery.

The room was clean spacious comfortable, and plenty of refreshments provided, including water and biscuits. Very nice to see.

    1. PLEASE replace the bath plug! The pop-up plug does not keep the water in, which meant that I could not enjoy a bath, which I so needed after a long day. 2. Please fit window stays so that it is possible to open the windows without them blowing about in the wind. 3. Please supply more milk and tea bags. Most people need at least 2 of those 'finger' sachets per cup. You supplied 4 sachets and 3 tea bags. Not enough. 4. Please fit a simple reading light for the single bed. Even something that clips onto the headboard would have been fine. 5. Please create a breakfast menu rather than just asking customers what they would like.

Room (Appledore) was clean, and appeared to be recently decorated. Comfy beds, lovely bedding, deep pile soft carpet. USB charging sockets. Happy with my full-English breakfast (£12 extra). Kids had fried egg sandwiches. Happy to support a high street pub/hotel rather than a big chain hotel.
