Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing to complain about, the accommodation met our expectations
The Tides is peaceful, very clean, and a good supply of beverages, tea, and coffee. It is room only, no meals provided but most enjoyable. We are in the process of moving to a new home and staying here while things get sorted.

HungaryThe lock on the window probably got stuck,we couldn't get it work properly. That could be a problem during winter. And the lightbulb only gave dim light, they should change it to a modern LED one.
It's very close to to the train station, to the beach and to the bus stops. It has the certain feeling of an good old inn, something what us, Eastern Europeans don't get very often. An of course, as an inn, if you want to have drink, you don't have to go far to buy one. For my brother and me,it was nearly perfect, because we spent most of our time looking for the local tourist attractions anyways, we only went back to have a shower and sleep. And they provided towels, shower gel, soap and clean bedsheets.

United KingdomPut you up had a slat missing but granddaughter slept ok on it and landlord did ask as we left if there had been a problem with it at all ( they had given us an extra smaller mattress pad to go over the gap) Noise from street, not too bad for a Friday and Saturday night in Weymouth to be honest although the motorbikes and boy racers do seem to like that part of the highway! The decor is a little tired but again, old pub and there is a refurbishment in the plans. Did not stop us enjoying the weekend!
Location excellent, a stone's throw from the seafront, literally! Room was ok, double bed, small put you up for my granddaughter, seating area by bay window with the view of the seafront. Ensuite bathroom ok. Stair climb to rooms ok. Separate door to accomodation so you didn't have to go through pub each time. Staff froze our icepacks for our cooler box for our journey home Great value for money.

United KingdomOnly problem was a lot of stairs but my disabled husband managed to climb them slowly, He can’t wait to go back so not too much of a draw back at the moment. Also music from the pub was a bit noisy at times but was quiet once pub closed.
Located near Station and near centre. En-suite was great. Bed was comfortable. Staff helpful.

United KingdomI loved every minute, but, if you are not used to sleeping through bursts of meatloaf, Johnny Cash or Aerosmith being sung by Darren after a hard day's work on a Friday night then take some earplugs. This is a pub, pub sounds will be audible, so expect them. Also, after the pub closes, expect the 'going home' noise of every holiday maker after too many alcoholic slushies stumbling up the road back to their B&B's, the pub is on the main through route to the train and bus station from the sea front so again, expect it. The 'boy racers' also enjoy doing circuits of the town, music blaring, baffles popping and a good drag take off up the street towards the beginning of the bypass, so again, ear plugs, a few pints of Blackthorn or both will help. Of course, all of this noise will still be heard along the sea front so whether you are staying in an overpriced 'posh' hotel or the lovely, clean, Comfortable, welcoming Tides Inn and you are not used to noise, take earplugs, or drink, a lot.,
Location was great, really close to the sea and the train station. The room was comfortable and quirky, fabulous view from the round window and the small sofa was the perfect spot for relaxing with a cuppa. It was thoughtfully furnished with an eclectic mix of shabby chic finds which I loved. A really lovely relaxing space that made me smile. The pub downstairs was brilliant, a proper old school boozer that went all out to be exactly that. No fancy menus or fake decor, just good people, a great welcome and a true spirit of a proper community pub. Rolls on the bar, Dry Blackthorn on tap, karaoke, football and cash over the bar took me right back to my 20s and it was a perfect place to stay while celebrating my partners 50 something birthday.
