Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIt is a beautiful place to stay, and ideally located for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. I had injured my knee, and whilst my husband went out walking I was made very welcome in the ‘snug’ and looked after extremely well.

United KingdomThe room was excellent, even though the ceiling paper was starting to come away and the window frames are in dire need of work. The food was excellent. But not enough of it for what you pay. Breakfast was a let down, it was no where near a full English and staff were not as a attentive as they are in the evening. Dogs allowed were a no no for me and in the restaurant, really??
Loved the lounge area with its real log fire and our bedroom. Restaurant staff in the evening were excellent. Overall atmosphere of the hotel was warming and inviting. The onsuite bathroom was superb

Fantastic property. Nice location. Comfy beds, cosy place, outside dining possible, great breakfast, open space, on the way yet quiet. Great nice hot shower, tea-coffee in the room, cupboard for storage, TV, wardrobe for clothes, very polite staff, fire pit in reception area.

United KingdomA little too 'regimented' on meal times (eg, set times for dinner and breakfast), which we found a little inflexible.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly, the hotel itself is perfect for a stay in the Dales and the food was amazing.

United KingdomBacon overcooked, sausages dreadful, toast cold and dried up or stale, oil food cooked in cheap or rancid! Dinner, extremely poor choices on Brasserie Menu; worse still the Tasting Menu! An expensive disaster, never to be repeated by us! After dinner, as hungry as before dinner. .
Breakfast was ok in parts, cereals good, milk lovely, fruit juices fresh, fruit compotes excellent, butter lovely. Service friendly, efficient and attentive, in fact could not be bettered! Sandwiches were substantial and flavoursome. Homemade shortbread in bedroom a treat, much appreciated. Interior decoration beautiful and welcoming, in keeping with the lovely, stone built building set in well kept grounds.

The location is amazing, also being close to Ingleton Falls is a must see. Staff and rooms exceptional. The food is the best we have ever had when staying away from home. The Traddock exceeded all expectations and more, a visit would not leave you disappointed.

United KingdomWe were late booking this room so missed out on an evening meal because they were fully booked. That was our fault though - we'll know to book an evening meal earlier next time.

United States of AmericaDifficult to compare with others in this general location, so it’s hard to compare value. However it is an expensive place to stay but it’s a very high quality facility. Food was of a high order, but with few simpler options, this made the cost quite high.
The staff were terrific.
