Nothing really to dislike, can't expect the Ritz for £70. It did the job the I needed

The floor of the room was on quite a slope (old building) but that meant the bed was as well! Quite noisy being right onto the street, but a bargain price - all in, great value for money.

Bedroom very comfortable but very little heating. No heating at all in the bathroom. No light in the bathroom above the sink making it difficult to see. This was the same situation when I stayed in 2019 ! Very limited breakfast laid out on a cupboard on an upper floor which had to be taken to the bedroom.

The lock on the main entrance door was slightly temperamental. Some oil on the pub sign would not go amiss as quite noisy in the wind, made me smile rather than annoyed me but winds have been getting worse.

Buffet breakfast was lovely & very comprehensive selection available. Room was very clean & comfortable. Location was perfect being so near to everything in town. The staff were all lovely, helpful & welcoming.

The radiator at night was uncontrolable. We could not get it down. So it was to hot to sleep well.

The way breakfast was served. I mean, it was fine, pastries, porridge or cereals. But the bread to be toasted was clearly expired as it was hard and with mould. There was dust on the bedside table and chest of drawers. The kettle was dirty.

Breakfast option was confusing. It was a continental which I wasn’t expecting. A cooked option would be nice and I would happily pay extra for it if it were offered.

Great location, fantastic price lovely pub to drink in. Staff were amazing and helpful. Top marks! Bed and bedding was super soft and clean and slept fantastically well.

A little noisy from below and rooms to side. The in room fridge is also quite noisey. The continental breakfast is a decent takeaway spread but no breakfast room means you eat it sitting on your bed.

The bathroom needs a bit of maintenance work done to bring it up to the standard expected. The pedestal washbasin had come away from the wall, one shower door had come off its bottom track so the doors didn't close properly and the shower hose height unit was also broken.

The service provided by the staff was excellent and the ability, after checking out, to leave our luggage for the day was much appreciated. The continental breakfast was good and the room very comfortable, although the fridge did hum quite loudly.

I found it hard to fill the kettle from the basin tap Wall paper with eyes was a bit scary

No cooked breakfast but the continental was good with nice variety of fresh fruit, pastries and spreads.

Buffet breakfast was left on the landing unattended, nobody around after the pub closed just a contact number.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was well decorated and comfortable. Evening meal was delicious and fairly priced. Very close to the sea.
