Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Hong KongThe 3-layer bunk bed is very narrow on every level. It is difficult to enter the middle bunk and you cannot sit up at all.

Czech RepublicYou can use the lobby / bar for hanging out and dining, but beware that the underground kitchen closes for the late night. The large dorm can get a bit chaotic. Be sure arrive early if you mind getting the very top bunk bed. It wiggles a bit.
Helpfull staff, tram stop and the city center are nearby. Convenient mini lamps and sockets next to each bed. Lockers available for 1 £ coin deposit.

United KingdomThe stairs. This is probably most people's reaction when situated on the top floor. Hated the doors in the bedroom and outside the room banging especially when trying to sleep during the night. Couple people sharing with us(it was a 6 Beds, 2 triple bunk room)weren't very respectful of that and stayed up most of night in the toilet chatting aswell as other unmentionable things. The Bed I was sleeping in was very uncomfortable which also didn't help...the couple had cranked the heating right up before disappearing in middle of night to find pubs, so all round it was a very uncomfortable night despite opening the window which didnt open very far, ended up turning heating off again. Lessons learned, doubt I would stay again. Will stick to hotel over a hostel. It's a shame as the staff were lovely, hardworking people and if it were just for 2 sharing or sharing with more friends, it would be much better. I personally didn't enjoy the experience of sharing with strangers. Not the hostel fault though. This is just my preference.
I liked that it was close to where I needed to be. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Explained what we needed to know easily. They had a bar in the hostel and the drinks were quite cheap as well which was nice to learn. I don't know if there was food available as didn't check. Shower was lovely and hot, although the cubicle itself could do with being freshened up and updated. The room was clean....again mattresses could be changed as were quite uncomfortable to sleep in. Overall, it was okay for what you pay. Cheap and cheerful:) Do not expect it to be the Hilton. You would be extremely disappointed.

ItalyThe structure itself is very new and arranged however it was lacking in cleanliness both in the common areas and in the room. The kitchen has not much available and also here the cleanliness was not great. However this depends mainly also on other people who do not always maintain the order and cleanliness required. The property is 10 min from Dean Village and 30 min from downtown. Overall good.

United KingdomGreat location. The staff are lovely and the place is always spotless. Great value for money, especially for me as a regular business traveller. Close to lots of restaurants and Haymarket is only a short walk away. Remembering how to sleep in a single bed takes a bit of getting used to, but they are comfy and all bedding is supplied.

PolandThe only thing was the height of the middle level of the beds. I'm quite a shortie but banged my head a few times.
I very much liked the location, the fact that there were available toothbrushes, soaps etc. The staff was lovely and very friendly. The location is amazing and it is great they even have a little garden in the back! Despite the number of people, there were never long queues to the bathroom or toilets.

United KingdomBed space was too small. One cannot even sit on the bed if in the middle or bottom bunk bed. Ladder to go up the bed was made of steel making uncomfortable for the feet to climb up to. No other communal toilet/shower rooms aside from the en suite shared by 9 people. Imagine needing to use the toilet but someone is inside taking long to shower? Dining area in the communal kitchen only had two tables. We had to eat while standing in the kitchen because both tables were occupied. "Game room" is the dining area in one and is situated close to the laundry room. So little space that it felt like it was not all planned or thought of. Dining tables are available to sit outside but it's usually raining so it was useless unless it's a nice weather.
Proximity to the city center. Staff were nice. Place was generally clean.

Czech RepublicIt depends on what roommates you have, but that's part of living in a shared room. Not everyone is always considerate and quiet. We were a little surprised by the bathroom - common for multiple rooms and all genders, only 2 functional showers and not always clean.
The location is perfect within walking distance of the castle and the center. The staff is very kind and helpful. The accommodation was not bad, the quality-price ratio was adequate.

ChileWe stayed on the 3rd floor and there is no lift. The hostel is a big house, so it is a loooot of stairs to go all the way to the top. We didn't have check-in bags, but I imagine must be awful if you have them and you have to go all the way up. Good cardio though.
The reception and bar area are very nice. Staff also very kind and always friendly.

United KingdomBed wasn't too comfy, it was warm but I kept banging my head. Not much room on lower bunks to maneuver. Pillows were not comfortable. Little room in the en-suite toilet. No lift in the building. Quite a few stairs to the top! Not hostels fault very noisy room. Can't be helped.
Staff very friendly. Was checked in late at night. Nice hot power shower! Very powerful! Room was very warm! Too warm! I turned heating down. Lockers in room. Need £1 coin or trolley coin. Vanity room is very handy for drying hair etc.
